I appreciate it. - RafiDRW
For real, though, Larkin is someone I would view as a near-ideal centerpiece in a return for McDavid. |

Talbot to get the start against the Wild.....I almost feel at this point it doesn’t matter who starts especially if the team turns in another wonderful performance like last night |

Pretty much a foregone conclusion that at least one of these things will happen:
1.) First goal on the first shot
2.) More than one PP goal against
3.) A 3rd period collapse
And it's usually more than one lately. |

The forward group at practice.....not surprised that Rattie wasn’t out there but he wasn’t the only forward who was terrible last night.....also not surprised that Puju remains on the 4th line....I’m convinced now that Hitch doesn’t think Puju is a good player....if that’s the case then just send him down....he certainly didn’t hurt the team last night yet he is still stapled to the 4th line....what a joke |

Tobias 0 goals Rieder gets the spot on the top line 😅
Apparently Gulutzan was running the practice today while Hitch sat and watched with Howson and MacT. |

Reider also has a brutal turnover on a Blackhawks goal so let’s reward that with top line minutes.....oh to be a fly on the wall so I can hear the 3 Einstein’s discuss hockey....Lucic still in the top 6.....nothing has changed what so ever

In fairness to Lucic, he's produced at a good pace since the new year. Something like 1.9 P/60 before last game and all of them were primary points. Not gonna sit here and suggest he's a top-6 player, but you've gotta ride the hot hands when they're going- whether by pure luck or a mix. |

Yeah I can’t really argue the numbers even if I hate the player.....I guess you could almost argue that putting Reider on the top line might be thier way of showcasing him (I laughed as I typed that given his season so far).....I’m just baffled as to why they keep Puju around....bring Russell back up and send Puju down if you really think he is a bad player

But that would make sense. The Oilers aren't in the market of sense making. |

I know it was a typo, but saying 19 remaining games when talking about Draisaitl, you better not have just jinxed him into getting hurt. haha - ChonDerry

Don't worry about Matthews. Worry about your own team. People complain about hearing about the Leafs all the time, yet in their own team's blog they have to throw shade at the Leafs/Matthews. sad - claude1971
Kind of like MSM turning McDavid winning the heart into a Matthews love fest.

They need another video- but this time with inclusion of Bobby Nic, Howson, Coffey, Gretzky, MacT and Katz all touching dinks while rolling around in Katz's money vault and clarify the types of fans they approve and the ones they dont... |

Feel bad for Oiler fans.
1. They cant seems to stay healthy. When was the last time they had Larsson/Kelfbom/Nurse/Sekera all in the line up at the same time.
2. I know that having the 3 centres is a luxury, but it is a luxury. Look at Toronto. Mathews/JT/Kadri. OK, but when Mathews was out, Kadri stepped up. You are committed to Leon and Connor - would consider moving Hopkins for help on the wing - find someone that can play with Connor consistently.
3. Nice to see they have moved on from Chirelli. Man, what a mess that was. Almost every deal seemed to implode right in front of him. I think his best move was drafting McDavid LOL.
4. Be patient with Yamamoto and Bouchard. Don't rush. Let them learn in the AHL. - Revised12
Every good move at one point (Maroon, Kassian) blew up. They fleeced the ducks but then traded Maroon for a dude named Dudek. Kassian for Scrivens was great, but then he signed Kassian to a pretty bad deal. |

Should have sent him down and left him there months ago... talk about (frank)ing up another kids development... |

I mean his assist against Montreal was him getting nailed with the puck and it falling to I think Draisaitl. Good assist. |

Hey at least Kassian's doing well. 11 points now! |

Fans of other teams have said that the Oilers do not deserve McDavid, considering what the Edmonton fans have had to deal with over the past decade...they most certainly do. - freelancer
Yes, the fans do. But the Oilers, as an organization, do not. |

Attention Oiler Fans:
We are now accepting applications to join the mighty Flames fans. No we don't just hand out 6mil contracts just to anyone, but our company prides itself on building a complete team, and not just focusing on the best player in hockey. Yes it is true, over the years you have won more cups then us, but we have had a more fun, winning environment the past 12 years. Sure a lot of this fun is based on seeing you keep getting first overall picks, and still sucking the big one. Our local radio station is promoting a contest to see how many more Jerseys will hit the ice before the season is over. Currently the over under is sitting at 30.
So if you want to feel like a winner keep the old boys club going, go out and renew your seasons tickets for next year and keep the pain alive, or take a look to your good friends to the south, come support our run to the cup.
We promise we wont judge you |

Kudos for showing up after a loss. The glass is less than half full. Better drafting puts a little depth in the minors. You threw shade on the Hawks as a poorer team than the Oilers and that blew up in your face. Now you throw shade on Matthews to inflate Draisaitl who cannot carry his own line and primarily scores on the power play. Put down the gas can and quit feeding this blaze. |

So... uh... there's speculation that they might waive Manning and Petrovic so that they can activate Sekera.
Which is (frank)ing amazing. |
