Kudos for showing up after a loss. The glass is less than half full. Better drafting puts a little depth in the minors. You threw shade on the Hawks as a poorer team than the Oilers and that blew up in your face. Now you throw shade on Matthews to inflate Draisaitl who cannot carry his own line and primarily scores on the power play. Put down the gas can and quit feeding this blaze.

He's doing a better job (46% GF Vs 42% GF), but has also seen more time with Khaira and Rattie who, despite their flaws, are better than Lucic and Rieder.

Quite a few posters on the Blackhawks board are upset with the team's recent success, and hoping that they get into tank mode before it's too late. Someone please go over to that board and tell them that tanking dosn't work.

Apparently Hitch is just waiting on one of these goalies to grab the ring so to speak.....he threw Koskenin under the bus for a loss (I guess Russell’s screw up in OT was ok by him) then pulls Talbot because he didn’t have a time out...then wonders why no goalie has stepped up so to speak....it’s clear this locker room is not on the same page......if this was any other team I would say Hitch won’t be back next year....but since it’s the Oilers I’m sure they will offer him big money to stay on

I know in a lot of ways the +- stat is useless but I had a good laugh when I seen Benning has the teams best +- at +7......I did find a positive tho....our PP sits at 9th in the league...there I did my positive stat of the day (PK ranks 30th)

Let me female dog about how bad ownership, management, scouting and coaching is, but I’m sticking around even tho things are continually getting worse?!

If this was your workplace, would you stick around?! No matter how loyal?! And loyal to who?! The same people who continually get you into this mess in the first place. The same people that are going to continue to sail this ship into even blacker water?!

Intelligence before dumb loyalty. Your not the captain of the Titanic. You don’t have to go down with the ship. Get on a (frank)ing life boat already if you have even have half a brain.

Talks are back on with Nenshi and the Flames brass about a new arena. Nenshi can’t hide anymore. It’s now a regular topic in the paper, on TV, on Radio and the interwebs. Fandom isn't something I pride myself on, but alas, the reality of it for many is that you connect with a franchise for some reason or another (Hemsky and the colour scheme in my case) and pretty much imprint on it. It's not something you can always just throw away. Interesting to hear that Flames fan's can so easily throw aside their fandom and cheer for their rivals

Further, this isn't loyalty to the people that run this stuff, if anything it's a loyalty to a brand/logo that you grew up with. That logo represents a team that fulfills part of our innate human desire to tribalize and compete by proxy rather than actually doing so... and tearing apart the fabric of modern society in the process. It's similar to how religion and things like gladiatorial combat allowed people to congregate and build their identity into a collective with a unified goal.
