Apparently Hitch is just waiting on one of these goalies to grab the ring so to speak.....he threw Koskenin under the bus for a loss (I guess Russell’s screw up in OT was ok by him) then pulls Talbot because he didn’t have a time out...then wonders why no goalie has stepped up so to speak....it’s clear this locker room is not on the same page......if this was any other team I would say Hitch won’t be back next year....but since it’s the Oilers I’m sure they will offer him big money to stay on

I might honestly prefer Stone to Panarin- even ignoring likely cost. That's not to say Panarin isn't an exceptional player and a more talented player than Stone, but he doesn't bring the kind of balanced two-way game that Stone does. There's some potentially valid fears that Stone's game will degrade sooner because of "the big guy effect", but I'm not worried about that. He doesn't hit very much, has pretty much always been an average of below skater and has still managed to keep scoring and defending as the league has gotten faster.

Agree to disagree then. I think going with Panarin involves far less risk and that Stone will decline sooner. Rather have Panarin than Stone if given the chance.

It looks like they might even have the cap room to pull it off also throw in that Florida is tax free so there is that factor as well....plus the weather is always good and as you pointed out they would become rather good with those signings....sounds like a great situation for a player to me
