Any truth to the rumour that Talbot demanded a trade?
- Wildschwein

He said himself he was rather emotional after getting the hook but calmed down after and apologized to the team for not coming back to the bench....they should have apologized to him for hanging him out to dry with that performance....haven’t heard any other chatter tho besides him getting the start as a make good

Regardless of our dream scenarios... we need to build this team around McD and Drai rather than move them.
- Reveen.

This will be the likely course of action....they do need to somehow purge most of that current NHL roster....too many weak losers on this team

I think Klefbom (not dependable enough) needs to go and Sekera needs to be bought out. I would love to see Parayko brought in along with someone like Ghost (if he is truly available).

RH - Parayko, Ghost, Bouchard /Benning
LH - Nurse, Russel, Jones / Gravel

I’ll make an argument for keeping Klef over Nurse at this point....while it is true that Klef has had bad luck with being injured there is no denying that he makes the team better....the numbers certainly don’t lie.....we are a team that is going to have to watch the cap and Klef comes in at a friendly number for us.....I’m not even sold on Nurse yet....yes he did have a solid stretch then came back down to earth....that’s been Nurse in a nutshell for his whole career and he will be due for a new contract after next season which we may or may not be able to afford....depends on our cap situation....I’d rather see that money go to resigning Nuge if that’s even an option

He does but I'm not a fan of injury history and Nurse could become a problem with his next contract... I suggested swapping him for a RHD (Parayko) earlier this year.

I remember that and I wouldn’t have been against the idea of getting Parayko either....checks all the boxes for what we need....I understand using the injury argument for Klef but wouldn’t people have to do the same in regards of Hall? (I await the backlash for including the sacred Halls name in a negative light) he hasn’t exactly been able to stay healthy during his career yet everyone wants him even if he averages about 65-67 games a season

Seems like MPS is finding his game in Ottawa - watched the game last night... Gotta admit I thought he would be a player there... only what 6 years later...

As much as Nurse's attitude scares me... he is a durable player who has taken a step forward this year.

The Oilers rushing him to the show set him back for sure.

He's played 51 games this year!

of the 275 players who have played 50 or more games this year, he's 266th in points.

He's being outscored by Derek Forbort and Ian Cole for (frank)s sake. If he wasn't 6'3 with decent wheels he wouldn't be anywhere near an NHL roster.

His .16 points per game this year has him tied for.... 643rd in the NHL.

Although his 8 points does tie him for 489th overall.
