This is just crazy talk. Holy sh!t. 2nd pairing. Poor Dumo. - MattStrat
Based on JJs prior 5v5 time on ice, wasn't he playing top 4 (2nd pairing) before ? |

You mean on other teams?.. If yes, then yes, I'm pretty sure he's seen alot of top 4 action in his career...but.. very large sample size of stats and numbers showing he shouldn't of been. Kings got rid of him for Carter and won the cup that year haha. |

No sorry, what I was getting at was he was playing too 4 minutes this season so pairing him with Dumolin doesn't mean he's getting a promotion to a top 2 pairing. He's been playing that all season |

If you want an opinion about great soccer rivalries in South America (and why not say in the world) here it goes:
Boca Juniors x River Plate (Argentina)
Internacional x Grêmio
Vasco da Gama x Flamengo
Palmeiras x Corínthians (all Brazil)

Doesn’t make any sense not to try Blueger with more ice time especially with that release.
We saw Dumo paired with someone else, I can’t remember who. Was it Kola? It was when Letang was out, he still looked solid. Not to mention, our top pairing is also our shutdown pairing. I’m ok trying the new guy up there, but why would I want slow footed Maatta against another teams top line? Sounds like a coaching dream if I’m the opposition. Grateful for the info from the blog, the response could’ve been better imo |

I'm not super familiar with the big Euro soccer leagues and know (frank) all about cricket so I can't answer that. As far as North American sports? Yankees-Red Socks and Ohio State-Michigan are up there. My NFL nominee would be Eagles-Cowboys. NHL has a lot of equally good ones so its hard to choose. I'd probably pick one of Chicago-Detroit or Boston-Montreal, with the nod to Boston-Montreal since they still play in the same devision.
Pairing those down to which is the best? (frank) man, I don't know. Its tough to compare rivalries cross sports. My nod would probably go to The Game, but its not even my favorite rivalry in college football. - Victoro311
From an organizational standpt. red sox-yankees is the only thing that competes with el clasico, but i think those rivalries are all in the fans and organizations minds, not in the players ie. none of the players are there long enough to really become invested compared to other sports.

Was is it the people mostly agreeing with RW (blogger) about JJ/pairings, discussion of great rivalries in sports across the globe, pics of pasta sauce or a combo of any of the aforementioned that have you saying this? |

Maatta Fun Fact: Maatta has played 79 (small sample size alert) 5v5 mins away from JJ, JO, and Riikola.
CF%: 49.1
SCF%: 51.7
HDCF%: 58.5 |

Hrmmm... Sounds like you are implying his partner as Letang in this sample away form those 3.
I'll call it average in CF and SCF, which is fine I guess... HDCF is quite good.
edit: If Dumo can work with Schultz, and Maatta with Letang... go for it. Just bury or dump JJ |
|
|
|
So I think this is something I've been too lazy for... so lets have others do it for me
What are realistic trade targets for JJ? As in... what are other team's JJ type contracted players and would we consider swapping trash for trash? |

Coaching staff and brass him though, apparently. |

4 more years makes it very hard to move him I imagine...but an even bigger obstacle might be that they dont want to move him at all and like him! |

Yup. It's so scary if there's actual truth it.
I'm also incredibly frustrated they've moved Bjugstad already. Out of three games, two looked good with Kessel. I get the mentality of needing to change thing up, but they should also be looking to build on things that have looked good. |

No no no... we are ignoring the coaching staff's fake love to boost his trade value. Other teams have to have some players with 3+ years of utter poop signed to them.
Who are they, and who could we tolerate more? |

Letang 44 mins. Dumo 12 mins. Pettersson 12 mins. Ruhwedel 10 mins. Schultz 1 min. |
