Higher skill level with Sutter but Boyle is way grittier and will play in the tough areas.

My dad new a bunch of them. My parents had some cocktail party for a bunch of the players. I met Bob Daily, Bobby Lalonde, Don Lever, Dennis Kearns, Jocelyn Guevremont, Dennis Ververgaert and Andre Boudrias. I was 7 or 8 and was speechless.
The leisure suits back then!

I heard him say the same thing. I know its unlikely Van gets a player that helps out next season though.

I dont think they have too many forwards knocking on the door except for maybe MacEwen and Gaudette. So if two players were traded from the forward. That would be fine with me.

I don't expect a big name signing and I don't think I really want one. I have heard names like Silfverberg Nyquist but I am hoping Canucks deal with a cap burdened team like Leafs and swing a deal for a guy like Kapanen or another team in cap trouble

Nashville just paid a late 2nd for Brian Boyle. Thats probably pretty close to the same skill level as Sutter.
- manvanfan

Sutter has 6 points. 6. Did I say 6. He isnt worth anything. I thought they should trade him before the season started maybe someone will bite for a defensive forward who isnt really that defensively strong. 6 pts. Man I wish we had better asset management

My.goodness dont use the arguement he was hurt. He is always hurt now so it goes into his value. It's the sole reason I think we should move edler. Hes a great defenseman but hurt for 2 months a season every year. Move on

I was on my way home listening to SN650 the reach deep segment. They quoted Benning from earlier this week or last last week . They said Jim stated that is a strong top 5 draft and after that they said you may be drafting a player that may not play in the NHL. That is their quote not mine and they are basing it off of Jim Bennings comments.

My point would be ,I don't know how active Canucks will be before TDL and I will stick to my earlier comments that Canucks will stick to Hockey Trades (sorry Vintsy)

Strong top 5 eh.... sounds like we need to fire up the tank. Good thing we have Beagle!

Former Vancouver #Canucks captain Andre Boudrias has passed away at the age of 75. Great player.

Some of the 2nd tier players in free agency would be nice.

Doonski.

Brandon Tanev will probably be gone thanks to Wpg cap problems unless he takes less then he might get on the open market.
Stralman instead of Gudbranson on the right side.

Things could be a lot worse, Gaunce could be on the team.

Seriously Sutter is one small insignificant issue with this team, but I understand the desire to focus on one individual to choose to pick on.

Canucks should become the brothers team. Tank for Hughes, trade Sutter and Goldobin for Granlund, Stecher for B. Tanev...

We didn’t fire our coach after it.

your mighty flyers are on a great ride, but like all talent deficient teams they will come back to earth.

Maybe that’s the problem, the way they show up to play, and the way they don’t gel together is a coaching issue.

I like Green, and I know that injuries have been a factor, but he could try to keep a line together for longer than a shift.

Sutter isn’t “the” problem, just like Beagle isn’t the problem or Eriksson isn’t the problem. The problem is when you put them all (and others) together and for the most part, none of them are contributing to the “score more goals than the other team” part of winning and loosing.

At least with Gaunce he only takes up a small portion of the salary cap.
