Many scouts, and I'll point to Corey Pronman specifically, will tell you that he is not as skilled as Pat Kane, so there's that.....

Its not the worst draft I've read but it's really not a great one either. I think if youre the Canucks and you have an opportunity to grab Bowen Byram or Broberg, you do it because you arent getting guys like Kakko or Hughes at this point and neither is any better than say Horvat in their prime.

Look at the list of Selke winners. Norris winners. The best defensive players also contribute to the offense.

It’s nice to have a Molhotra to throw out for defensive zone draws, and then change when the puck moves up ice. I don’t believe a team needs ten of them.

If Schaller got hurt he’s probably a call up, unless they want to get a look at Mac. Guess it would depend if they are still in the playoff race or not - i.e. do they need a reliable player for a few minutes per night, or are they looking towards next season and want to see what they might have.
