When was the last good FA signing we had? Maybe Hutton pans out. Maybe.

I'm sure your rationale is exactly what Housley is thinking, but, some counterpoints,

ZG lost his man on the second goal and allowed him the space to hit it out of the air.

Sobotka's cluelessness led to (I believe) the Foligno chance. He also had a horrible OT giveaway.

Larsson plays the PK, so taking Sobotka out of the game would be a net-zero.

Finally, watching Thompson is fun. This is supposed to be fun, right?

- jcragcrumple

Last night was not fun watching tall Tage-

I really like tage, but he was completely out of place last night

- Boss34

given the chance of making the playoffs still out there

do you send tage down, keep smith up full time and perhaps try another winger from rochester?

Yeah. Wow.

Housley sucks.

I truly wonder what this team would look like with even a semi competent coach. Probably a better powerplay at the very least. I know, I know we scored last night.

Sobotka's usage
Pilut sitting/Scandella playing
Not calling up players sooner
Force feeding Hutton despite Ullmark's play
Now sitting Tage

Done. I'm done. Fire Phail.

I get it, he made the right decision with Pommer during the streak. I'm not sure I can point at another inspiring decision from the man in two years now.

Moving sam off the 1st line and giving him a chance to set up other players.

Good move by phil.

Also: putting pommer back on the 1st line- not keeping okposo for a game or 2.

any suggestions on your top 3?

Narcos and Ozark are very good. Longmire is also good.

Jcrags- in person last night:

Tage Thompson looked like an amateur player.
He looked tall and very slow.

I give phil credit for seeing the obvious last night.
The okposo - eichel looked terrible too

53-9-29 looked better

I saw it very differently. He created several opportunities and drew the penalty that led to the Erod goal. Did you watch the condensed game highlights?

Thompson better be hurt.

Housley is going to keep Sobotka in after two horrible turnovers, and ZG, who did absolutely nothing? Thompson created two beautiful chances and drew a penalty (he took one too, but still). How did that earn him a demotion?

- jcragcrumple

Miss Elie yet? Unless Phil does something very un-Phil-like, and starts scratching vets with regularity, he's going to drive you insane. How does a Smith/Thompson rotation sound?

Regarding Larsson, i am fine with bringing him back as the 4th line center who does PK duty. Larsson is the least of our problems. Botts #1 priorities by next training camp is to rid the team of bad contracts/players:

Beaulieu
Bogo
Scandella
Okposo
Pommer

If 4 out of those 5 are gone, then we will be a better (and cheaper) team, even if we just replace them all with Rochester players.

- SabreWest

You had me until there.
IMO, Botts has to use FA to plug 2 maybe 3 holes

I've really liked tages game. Last night though he looked really slow and giraffe(e).

Cj looked quick

I would sit tage until someone gets hurt or moved. I wouldnt hurt his feelings by sending to roshester.

Just my opinion.

Maybe it was an off game as well.
Glad phil picked up on it.

43-9-21 was brutal. Phil made the move.

Sam had his best game of the season.
Dare I say - he looked like a star

The Timmy’s experiment failed in St. Louis. They closed all of the stores I am aware of and the blues dumped them as a sponsor. Now it really sucks to live as a Canadian in St Louis. Maybe the blues will make the playoffs so I don’t have to watch Cardinals baseball at every bar in March

How about
Trade Pommer, Sobotka, Scandella
Play Smith, Tage and Pilut

If Tage sits more than 25% of the time now, I have an issue with it. I'm a big fan of JB, but JB/Phil do take the easy way out on most of the time on roster/lineup decisions.

Why would any of this make me miss a guy who had 1 point in 16 games?

Thompson sat repeatedly when Elie was here. Sometimes Elie played instead of Tage, sometimes d men were hurt and TT played instead of Elie. None of this makes me nostalgic for the goalless one

Thompson has looked lost at times recently.

Other players who have looked lost recently - All of them.

Housley is out to lunch.

Not many have brought up that Bogosian has gone back to being downright brutal again

It's funny, I actually came home and watched most of the replay. I didn't notice him as much.

When I left the game, I was thinking man he really looked tall , non athletic and slow.

He had a great toe drag tage shot that was nice.

Also the late penalty was bs. Tage hooked, but the other dude definitely tucked his stick under his elbow/armpit to make it look worse. He was working hard on that shift too.

CJ looked fast.

I think Stralman should be our #1 target in FA and I’m not being sarcastic. He’s exactly what we need on the d-corps. I think Hayes will cost more then what id like to pay. I love Stone though.
