thats what I figure too. Gionta didnt want to bother uprooting his family or leaving them for 3 months for another shot at the cup. Im sure Pomenville could have a promising career working for the sabres front office or taking a serious hometown discount to play 1 more year, bas long as he realizes he will see the pressbox often
