Agree, this team needs a little more jam! 23 is playing some great hockey, see's the ice better than most (some of his passes of late have been stellar). Goaltending has been below average and defensive zone coverage is just deplorable!

I'm with the German. If you watch, really watch, Jack is double or triple teamed ALL the time. And when he does work to get open, skinner can't hit the side of a barn with a pass. every guy on the ice gives it to him and then probably screams to him when they're open, after he beats his double or triple team. Dude needs SOME help, whether it be harder working linemates or another consistent scoring line to help take some heat off. Hockey is not a 1 man show, but Jack is doing his best at being that still.

the teams had to focus on vanek, roy and pommer and they got man handled for stretches when playing good defensive teams

scandella blows

dahlin and pilut are going to make rookie mistakes

risto is inconsistent

did I miss anything other then stating beaulieu brings more to this team then scandella, but gets scratched all the time?

beaulieu is not great, but he can send a quick outlet pass and follow into the other zone for a rush, scandella does nothing but make bad passes and skate backwards to float in the corner of our own end instead of clearing the front of the net

I would agree with this but the other problem is Housley keeps changing the D pairs up and I don't think that helps this group. One game McCabe is with Risto and it's Dahlin the next game.

At this point I would rather send Pilut back to Rochester, get him the experience and let him win a Cup. Play Beaulieau till he's traded and then play Hunwick, by that time he'll be healthy again. Or get Nelson back in there.

That's exactly it. This team is bereft of talent through the lineup. Any team worth its salt, especially at this stage of the season, can absolutely shut down 1 player or 1 line for an entire game.

Disagree. Team just plays so stupid in it's own zone. Clear the front of the net, it's not that hard. Defensive iq is very low. Ullmark was off. Was never in position on any of those shots plus could have bailed the team out in ot but didn't come close

Bogo has been horrible lately and Scandella is Scandella. He has one good shift and then the next 3 shifts he looks like Mike Wilson. Dahlin is a rookie and he's gonna make mistakes but you can't have that out of your vets.

Housley should get tough and scratch one of them and play Beaulieau. Send a message.

I would have fired him a month ago but Botts doesn't want to go there, hence he should do it at the end of the season. If Housley comes back next year, Botterill will lose any credibility he has imo. And I don't think we will be a playoff team, not the way they are playing.

We really need to stop hiring former players. It makes me not like them in the end. Used to be a Housley fan, now I don't want him anywhere near the team. Patty LaLa left a bad taste in my mouth. Pegula needs to stop being a fan boy!

If Botterill is looking at making some substantial moves in the off season and sees next year that this team makes a big jump in the standings, he needs to can the ENTIRE coaching staff.

I think Paul Hamilton may irk me more than Mike Harrington. The guy tries to sound educated but sounds like a complete doucher. My Top 3 are a toss up: Schopp, Hamilton and Harrington.
