I have liked Sutter, but he is just another member of the no-eventful players on this team, like Erickson, who we are stuck with, Granlund, Beagle(who is fine as a 4th line centre).
Would really be happy if at least 1 more player is gone from this team, before season's end, just hope it is not Sven from concussion issues.

At some point Benning is going to have to manage his cap much better because if Pettersson, Boeser and Hughes all workout they're going to get paid handsomely. Wasting money on bottom six guys like he does won't help the teams cap situation in the future?

I like Jake a lot but I think he will never be a high level top 6. As Doug MacLean said Canucks are getting a lot of calls on him. We have a habit of waiting too late to get value for a player.

I think you see who has the best offer . I think if you can get a 2 RHD and a pick or a prospect winger , you take it.

You're not giving up on either? You're simply addressing a need with an asset. Right shot defence is a need league wide. Nashville has Subban and Ellis and I'm not sure Fabbro wants to sign there (wild guess).

Love this idea for kapenen or Johnsson.

I'm pretty sure that's full-on sarcasm right there. Virtanen will never be more than he is right now IMO, he just doesn't think the game well enough despite all his physical tools. When he's on, he's great, when he's not, he's really insignificant.

Keep him, trade him, doesn't matter, he won't be the reason the team is successful when it becomes successful.

He’s looked much better post break. I think he was worn out / tires. He’s been good the last few games. And looking confident. I think he could be a 25-25 guy that hits. I’m more then ok with that.

The low end ones are very reasonable. Kapanen was a very good example of a young guy easily worth a 2nd, arguably worth a 1/2. Problem is getting the player to sign one.

It is probably just me but I wouldn't be trading him for less then a mid first round pick in the 16-22 range.

You can call me crazy but looking back at drafts, players that are 30-40 point per season players are generally around the 15-20 ranked in their drafts.
