So here is question to the panel:
What does bowman do leading up to and on TDL day? Stay pat and do nothing , move Kunitz Ward and kruger to contending team, go all in and try and get into the playoffs or stay the course and continue with what he has done up to now referring to strom perlini koko and Caggulia trades? Thoughts and trade proposals are welcomed. |

Remember the posters dogging the Schmaltz trade? Strome can’t skate, he’s not an NHL player, he’s a bust etc. etc....
Strome is almost a PPG player since coming to the Hawks. Let’s keep judging 21 year olds as complete products!!! - bhawks2241
couldn't agree more, SB fleeced AZ in that trade, he and Dcat have great great chemistry which will only get better. |

Nothing changes. There will be no crazy trades trying add for a playoff run. If you can sell a few that are not in your plans moving forward. You sell.
There is no mystery what type of players they will add. Skating, grit and skill.

Yes- last season - HockeyReference doesn’t show it - but my error.
Doesn’t change my analysis of where he is. - StLBravesFan
So should he be in th A learning or successfully centering the Hawks 2nd line? |

Breadman...not quite to your level. But, I called 5-3 Hawks on Friday, so pretty close. If you have to go on holiday and need a fill-in prognosticator, I may be able to help out.

I appoint you heir to the crystal ball. Go ahead and have it. Hahaha. I give you an A for effort. You and BM made the same prediction. |

I think Kruger is the most likely one to get moved. Someone will probably want that skill set for the playoff run. The other one might be Hayden. If someone wants him, I think the Hawks owe it to him to give him a chance to play more than 7 minutes a game. I don't see his career taking off here. |

Yeah and guys who get paid appear to be wrong about him, too. He is fine in the O-zone. He needs work in his own zone. - Elbows15
That can be said about everyone on this Blackhawk team, forwards included.
I miss the days when Joel could run Hossa, Toews and Saad out at the end of games and just grind the opponent into defeat. Most of the forwards on this team are as defensively challenged as the defensemen.
As someone mentioned, Strome tried to sweep the puck on the last Detroit goal, missed, and gave up. Really all he had to do was put a body on him in the corner, and the play is negated. Not even a hard check, just get body on him. |

It has been great watching this streak, not only are they winning but scoring a lot of goals doing it is just a lot of fun to watch, they do need to tighten up on d though and try to tighten up the breakout.
I wouldn’t be so sure that the hawks would have no chance to win a playoff series. If they get in, then it would mean that they basically played the final 2 months of the season at a pace that matches the top teams in the league. I gaurantee that a surging Blackhawks team would be the last team the preds or jets would like to see round 1. If the hockey gods are good maybe we can reverse the 8 vs 1 seed upset that the preds pulled in 2017. |

I’d love to see them make the playoffs, but their chance is still less than 1 out of 5.
Boston is 20-7-3 at home this season. |

Well, I don’t know.
Would a full season in a developmental pro league have helped him more than going directly to Phoenix? Would AdB have been better served with time on the farm? We’ll have to see how complete their games are in two years or so - whether they will have been able to pick up their deficiencies in the Show.
I’m guessing that going directly the major league hurt high-pick players like Petlini and DuClair and others. |

Never been a big Ward fan ,hats off to him today . Like that Ward not afraid to smother the puck slow things down ,not a bad idea . Was just cussing out Kane when he scored the big insurance maker ,he did not have a great game . Still manages to save the day . Seebs huge on late PK . Nice way to end the week Big game Tuesday better have their wheels on for that one ..GO HAWKS |

Maybe, Strome and the 2nd line all players on the ELC are to much to handle with teams who lack depth at D. If Strome becomes a point per game player and puts some effort in playing defense, this may be Bowman's best trade ever.
On top of it if Pelini goes to the AHL and learns how to use his size and speed like Alex Tuch even if he scores half as much as Tuch is a huge bonus.
This may be Bowman's best trade ever, then again i didn't think Schmaltz was a hockey player |

I also wonder when both Cat and Stromes contact come up they will be like Toews and Kane and sign for the same amount but hopefully it'll be fair to both sides. |

I’d be ok with that. If those two are as close as they appear to be I’m sure they’ll want to play together for as long as possible. I don’t think it will be the primary motivator in their contract negotiations but it will be a factor. |

McDavid seemed jelly after his statement about those two the other day. Maybe McDavid will jump ship and that lethal Erie Otter line will be reunited ? |

No clue on Strome, I didn't watch a couple of AZ games at 4am to decide his value. But adb needed zero time in minors, his numbers would prove that.
Jeebus, Kane is 30 and still can't really play D side of hockey consistently....should he go back to A to sharpen up that part of his game? |

According to Eddie, talking to Dylans parents, he's very excited about playing with his old teammate and playing for an original 6 team. |
