Nice piece. On its face it seems bleak:
"You've got a franchise player coming off as a petulant child, a key offensive cog wrongfully calling out his goaltending and a coach who may have just thrown his GM under the bus."
Some of it misguided, some petty, some unproductive. But hey, at least these guys have a pulse. You can tell they care. E-rod was pissed off. I haven't seen players really care since Ryan Miller almost cried in front of the TV cameras after losses. To a man, they seem pissed off.

IMO coaching is THE issue. Team has no structure/system/discipline in a league where all the good teams do. Simple as that. JB must see that, right?
Ideas:
Quenneville
Ruff
Dave Tippett
I don't know...who do people want to coach this team? |

I'm with you on this
They're showing emotion
It's a welcomed change
There seems to be a riff between Housley and Botts as well
I hope Botts takes away all of Housley's toys |

I have a feeling that contract structure is going to be a huge topic next lockout, i mean CBA negotiation.
- ImThatGuy
The “experts” seem to feel like there’s a good possibility there won’t be a lockout,
Bc there’s not any “major” issues
We’ll see though
I could make a fairly sizable list of changes that should be made
I think I would give up hockey for a year to get rid of the guaranteed contracts. I would love for it to be like football in a sense... your playing like poop... Cut...
- hehateme
I’m against it
Especially in hockey
Gives a huge advantage to the richer teams in bigger markets
Restructuring contracts should be a thing.
- RhinoFan
Without the threat of release/termination of contract, idk why a player would agree to the renegotiation though? |

I have no faith in either goalie moving forward. |

There were a few wide open goals last night but you have to look at the goalie to be able to read the play as well.
Ullmark wasn't tracking the puck well at all last night |

Doesn't ownership have any blame in this? Where is their leadership? |

Maybe they should focus on the team getting better then having stupid gimmick nights like "Hockey is for Everyone Night" They are promoting inclusion and diversity. The owners are SJW's. |

Pegulas can demand Jason makes a trade I guess. But they shouldn't go near the team structure. They should finance it. Stay the (frank) away from hockey ops. |

Then hire a president of Hockey Operations that can make the decisions. Keep Kim out of it. |

Terry had his coach introduce Donald Trump in his arena. I don't think they're bleeding heart liberals.
And god forbid the sabres support this:
"We support any teammate, coach or fan who brings heart, energy and passion to the rink. We believe all hockey programs - from professionals to youth organizations - should provide a safe, positive and inclusive environment for players and families regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation and socio-economic status." |
