Just replied Cab, sent you two messages. Slops was a great guy, so sad what his family has gone through. We had good times on Eddy's site. RIP Mike. - mhp

laine is the tricky one
I am not sure the jets know what they have with him
18 goals in november
4 goals in the next 30 games - homiedclown
I think there are gonna be fireworks at the draft. Maybe that's why Botts is sitting on his hands now and will only make marginal trades at the deadline. And with next year's cap going to 82, should be fun. |
|
|
|
I wanted Barry Trotz. This team was supposed to be about "winning Cups", remember? Why do you not at least have a conversation with a guy fresh off winning one. A guy that has a history of winning with what would be considered lesser talented teams...No, we are stuck with Philly the high school mascot. The man with the folded arms staring off into space...what a freaking joke. |

I don't wanna see a waste of the picks on rentals or players on the downside like we saw last time we were stocked with Picks. |

Agreed. I would rather we just move guys like Beaulieau, Pommer and a another guy or two for 2019 picks. Accumulate as many 2019 picks as you can and see what GM wants to deal.

If you ask Jets fans, they think he's overrated, doesn't deserve a big pay day, and one dimensional. They love Connor in comparison. |

For better or worse, it's quite a bad look to keep dumping coaches as consistently as they have, and especially after one year like Phil. That said, I agree regarding Trotz. |

For me, I would be all for trading for future picks as well. In fact I would probably prefer 2020 or 2021 picks. We could have 8 picks already this year, and having more picks next year or the following year will give us more assets for deals when we are serious buyers at the deadline. |

peggy said money is no issue
so let's hire a proven coach and not waste any more time with eichel, dahlin, reinhart, risto, skinner (hopefully)
go out and get the best guy, instead of a yes man
I really think the pegulla's need to have someone run the bills, and someone run the sabres and terry and kim just stay out of it
let thurman oversee the bills and lindy oversee the sabres and call it a day |

offer sheet marner
give up the first rd picks in 20,21,22,23
get a proven stud
the pros, you already have the 2019 first rd pick and the pick from the blues and sharks
the cons, can't find any |

With the upcoming RFA market and the fact teams want to trade for 1st rd picks this year, the draft could see a number of trades. I don't think I have ever seen an RFA class like this one- Trouba, Kaerlsson, Connor, Aho, Laine, Tkachuk, Boeser, Meier, Rantanen, Marner, Konecny and Kapanen. - mhp
For fun, I'll try to order them in terms of preference without cheating and looking at their stats.
Rantanen
Aho
Marner
Boeser
Connor
Tkachuk
Meier
Trouba
Laine
Karlsson
Konecny

I'm a huge Marner fan, but I'd actually put him 3rd on list Mhp provided as I'd offer sheet Rantanen and Aho over him. |

I would love Rantanen, just think Colorado would have to match it
as the canes would match aho |

Realistically they all would get matched, but Rantanen, and maybe even more so Aho, would be ideal fits. |

I doubt the leafs match 13 per on Marner, esp with Nylander struggling because they would have to move him to make it happen
and I would offer that much to get him |

Well done.
Mine

4. Marner
5. Boeser
Based on teams cap space for next year, the players to go after imo would be Marner, Kapanen, Laine, Trouba and Karlsson. I don't think it's realistic to trade with Toronto for Marner or Kapanen and Botts dpoesn't strike me as the kind of guy that wpould do offer sheets. A trade with Winnipeg or Vegas for Karlsson is possible, who knows.

Offer sheets will be difficult to do as you point out most teams if not all would match. Vegas has little cap space so you could offer sheet Karlsson. |

What about these middle to lower tier RFA's
Burakovsky
Vrana
Hutton
Ritchie
Leivo
Vatrano
Iafallo
Crouse
Beavillier
I like Vatrano, Hutton and Iafallo. Washington has a little cap trouble and I would prefer Vrana over Burakovsky. |
