Bott's is a first time GM. Ownership needs to give him a person that can help make decisions. They are having him learn on the job and that is setting him up for failure.

He definitely knows what he’s doing. He’s one of main reasons Pittsburgh won those Cups.

He’s also turned the Amerks around on a dime.

People need to relax. The Sabres have been poorly run for years. GMTM's tenure was a mess. Botterill seems to be the guy to put a good team together. You'd be wise to stop comparing the Sabres to the Leafs. The Leafs have more depth and quality. Years of drafting and developing well (and a bit of luck) has got them to this place.

You have a franchise center and a franchise D man. You also have some other good pieces but not nearly enough to actually compete now. Resign Skinner and continue to draft and develop. One day Botterill will need to address the goaltending position. Not sure Ullmark is the answer. Certainly the 33 yr old guy who the Blues didn't want is not the answer either. Although the Finnish kid in Sudbury looks promising.

no reason to put your 4th line on the ice after you score a goal to get within 1, AT HOME

mixing up the D all the time

has decent chemistry overall for a few games on the top 3 lines (offense) and f's it up


the move that should be made is okposo to the 4th or presser and tage on the 3rd with smith and e-rod

Don't recall seeing them this year. They should contact Berglund, Sobotka and super sniper Tage Thompson to see if they want to do a promo. I'm sure St. Louis would gladly pay for it. FML

That’s the thing though. If ROR is here, he suffers the same fate under this coach.

ROR is having a great year.

He’s also doubled his 5 on 5 shooting % and on ice shooting % form his 224 games as a Sabre.

Regression will come.

Dont forget Skinner too. After his first 35 game explosion he has returned to his typical self. A nice -12 over the last 18 games. On the ice for half of our goals last night. Standing around watching the play completely out of position. Only worried about one thing, a take away in the O zone.

He should mellow out and end the year at even or in the minus despite being over 40 goals.
It will be even better when y'all give him 8 to 8.5 million and he doesnt have the spark that gives you a +23 in the first 35 because he has his big contract. It is 30 goals, 50 points total and a minus 15 to 20.

First off Reinhart should never call out a goalie or anyone defensively, as his work on the wall in the Def Zone and his turnovers are atrocious...he will never be a selke candidate.
That said this team sucks Defensively, Scandella AGAIN watching on goals as well as Larsson (I know Skinner was too, but he comes out and atones for it with two Goals).
Its time Scandella is sent to the press box He flat out blows. To many lost coverages, (great he got a goal). every game we see him lose a man in coverage have a terrible turnover or just standing around looking. There were so many more plays last night he made where fans were going WTF are you doing. This you expect from Pilut a rookie not from a Vet like him.
