from what I recall, uncle terry wanted ehrhoff badly and he's still paying for that one...I think, but am not 100% sure, he was involved early on...imo, the best owners are the ones that hire the best people for the job and get out of the way...as for kim, hope she's hands off as well
- Michael Pachla

I agree 100%. But he can hire people in upper management who can help direct Bott's and the scouting department. Help make strong decisions going forward. I like what Botteril has done so far, except for the Housley signing.

It must have been the -1, 2 PIMs keeping Okposo in over Smith.

Some really good stuff. Rodrigues a +3. Better put him with Sobotka

What is he doing?

I can be objective when looking back

today I say trade should have been on hold for 8 months

- homiedclown

As i said all along...
trading him for a great return would be fine
We did not get a great return

A second tier prospect & couple picks
Will they work out?
Tbd

The guys we got back to help NOW...

I need to add context to my comment. The Sabres are nowhere near good enough to challenge for for the Stanley Cup. If they were a truly good team and they won all of their games 1-0, this is obviously fine. But right now, they are a defensive dumpster fire. They aren't making the playoffs so they might as well entertain the fans. Hopefully Botts has a plan in place to address our numerous shortfalls, starting with signing Skinner and getting rid of the over-priced trash on our line-up.
- SabreWest

I get it, although I can't agree that an exciting loss is better than a boring win in any context...the stuff they did last night, and against Chicago equals a lot of bad habits...bad habits are hard to break

if this tail spin continues, Housley's surely a goner...can't fire an entire roster...and that quote last night...

Hey Okposo did a great job of... uh... creating that one turnover that caused Brind'amour to scream at his team.

Is Botterill telling Housley to play Okposo? Why is this happening to us?

How did he come to the conclusion that Smith should sit? None of this makes any sense

Dont forget Skinner too. After his first 35 game explosion he has returned to his typical self. A nice -12 over the last 18 games. On the ice for half of our goals last night. Standing around watching the play completely out of position. Only worried about one thing, a take away in the O zone.

He should mellow out and end the year at even or in the minus despite being over 40 goals.
It will be even better when y'all give him 8 to 8.5 million and he doesnt have the spark that gives you a +23 in the first 35 because he has his big contract. It is 30 goals, 50 points total and a minus 15 to 20.

Here's what Botterill should say but can't. I'm sacrificing this season to bring along two defensemen who aren't ready for big minutes in Pilut and Dahlin. Next year they will each have 10 - 15 pounds of additional muscle, so they can withstand the rigors of the cycle.

I'm disappointed in my captain who needs to be physical occasionally, it will actually pay off because teams will stop trying to intimidate; and inspire the young guys; this is the NHL.

We'd get blown out if we luckily made the playoffs, it gets much more physical.

Expect 2 fairly large moves at draft time.

Stupid gimmick... jesus. I cant believe I just read that. The sabres participating in hockey is for everyone is a great thing. I dont know why we cant do both. Be good for the community and a better hockey club. Watch out your bigotry is showing.

and completely (frank) up the ROR trade, and the handling of mitts, and not doing anything to improve the team while they were still in the hunt... Exactly how dare him.
