We are in the place we are in because of that lucky 10 game win streak. Taking that out of the equation with a 2-1-2 record we’d be somewhere around the Rags and Panthers are.

We aren’t a playoff team and we shouldn’t be giving up much of anything for rentals. If we can improve our team by trading players like Okposo, Scandella, Beaulieu, Sobotka etc then sure but I don’t see that happening.

I respect your opinion on ROR but we just disagree... We did not HAVE to trade him last year, when we did Botts completely missed on replacing him this year, that falls on him. we can disagree but Im not impressed with the move whatsoever. The only hope I see is if the first round pick works out... Everything else is meh. I personally don't think Tage is anything but a 3rd line player, and the other guys just blow.

Sabres ownership has shown a track record of being willing to make the big splash in free agency of you can choose to go after the big UFA goalie who is going to want very close to Carey Price $$

OR make a trade for a bonafide (no necc elite but top 15) starter. You will have competition from teams on the bubble and looking for the same (EDM)

I recommend taking a good look at LA Kings and something along the lines of

To BUF: Quick
To LAK: Hutton, 1st round in 2019 (one of the 3 that you have), and a prospect/pick

You get an tender who still has 2-3 elite seasons in him (despite injuries) and buys you time to develop Young prospect goalies while not wasting prime years for Eichel , reinhart, mittlestadt etc. His AAV is also not bad for a 2 time SC champion and actually salary owed is even better

LAK gets a goalie with shorter term which is good if they are looking to do a full rebuild because they still flip to someone else. the picks/prospects achieve the same end.

Hard to imagine Hutton directly calling out Sam in the media in October, when he was terrible.

For the bizillionth time....STFU about how Eichel is a whiner. Obviously you've never played on winning teams or never played on a team sport. Secondly as a former goalie I can tell you that even Ullmark shouldn't deny that most of those goals scored on him last night where his fault. As I''ve been saying all along Ullmark is not going to be the goalie that is the number one tender when the Sabres finally win a cup. He still has problems in close. He still can't handle the puck well. He still has weakness with high shots. I could give a rats ass what Andrew Allen or some goalie coach from Sweden says about how Ullmark is so great because he is calm. Again GTFOH. Lets ask Patrick Roy about being calm.

One more thing I heard that McCabe told Tage Thompson that he would "be off the team" after hearing Tage yell an expletive deletive to a fan after the fan derisively said something to Thompson about scoring a goal after Tage smashed his stick in disgust after a loss. If I were that fan I'd expect the same. At least somebody on this god awful joke of team has some sort of passion about losing all the time.

A player that accepts losing is just that - a loser. And accepting losses is a cancer that spreads. Passion is needed and expected. Your typical of this generation. Maybe some head banging in the locker room might stop all the glad hand happy slapping going on with this team.
