He played more consistently this season, but honestly, that was a bad signing from the start. He just wasn't a good fit so I'm glad they're moving on

Neither Schlemko or Froese is going to move the needle, but everybody already knew that, I'm sure -- hell, without looking, I don't remember the last time Froese played an NHL game

I love that Hextall fixed the farm system and cleaned up the cap. they have a full roster, 2 buried contracts, 4 guys on IR and one minimal contract retention (150K) and still have around 9-10 million in cap space.

that said, I love that Fletcher moved on from Hakstol and I love that he has accelerated the use of young players.

the next moves/steps he make are going to be so important.
