You said his price shouldn’t change in two weeks. What’s his price?
- SuperSchennBros

I'm not suggesting a price. I'm just saying the price today should be the price in 2 weeks no matter what he does on the ice in that time, except injury. What is so hard to understand in that statement? Changing your idea of what you'd pay based on two weeks isn't good asset management. You've got a good enough sample size. You know what Simmonds is. you know what you'd pay for it. The only things that change that are his health and your competition. And competition should not bring about an overpayment of more than a small margin.

Also Gordon is on record as saying Hart would not have been called up earlier. Gordon himself told Hextall he was not ready. This is why Pickard was signed. Hextall probably would have asked Gordon again when things got ugly and Hart actually did get called up.
- dragonoffrost

Thank you.

Listen to Gordon's press conference after Hart's first game. He said Hextall asked him if Hart was ready, Gordon himself said Hart wasn't ready, they called up Stolarz instead. When Stolarz got injured, Hart had a run of 5 really solid games and got the call up. While we will never know, but it seems to me Hextall would have called up Hart the same time Fletcher did. Fletcher really had no choice.

They want to be treated equal right? I wouldnt offer my seat to anyone unless they we old, injured or pregnant. You cant demand equality then then expect special treatment

I wouldn’t expect bailey to outplay simmer but who knows. If they lose simmer in a trade there is a hole in the top 9 that they can’t fill from anywhere internally right now.
- Just5

I don't know that he will, but if Bailey shows to be a competent 3rd line winger and provide some physicality, that may be what they're looking for, not necessarily replace Simmonds production. I don't know anything about Bailey so I don't know if it reasonable or not but I would think if he was, he wouldn't have been in the minors all year.

Is Simmonds the same player playing with Nolan Patrick on the third line or might he be a different player on the first line with Claude Giroux?

Hurricanes lose, Sabres lose. Two teams we need to pass. Overall a good night.

Fans are overly focused on “the return” or “the future”. The future is bright for the Flyers no matter what they do with Simmonds. I’m mostly concerned about disrupting the play of this team. I thought we had a good season heading into the season and I think we have a good team now. The problem is, they waited too long to fire Hakstol. They waited too long to change the Power Play. They waited too long to split Giroux and Couturier. Guess what, now our season is in jeopardy.

If the proper adjustments are made sooner, it makes certain questions easier to answer later.

He won't be a first line wing on any team he goes to at even strength. He'll be a second line wing, first PP time may be available depending on which team is acquiring him.

No I am not. I have no problems with equal rights but with that means us Men shouldnt have to cater to them anymore. Equal rights means equal pay and equal opportunity, there is no reason aside from me hosting the date at my place to pay so I can get to know her.

Same goes for the bus, buses are frequently filled. If there is something that makes it a danger for you to stand I will give up my seat no problem. For everyone else, they can stand just like I would if no seats were available to me.

The fact that she is a woman does not change the way I treat her. I will treat her the same as everyone else aside from the fact I might want to bang her.

You sure are one hell of a ladies man.

And yeah, this mindset makes you a douchebag, not to mention your take that men have no emotional connection to their children whatsoever.

Trust me. There is no equal rights when a blond haired, muscular, tattooed, pretty boy walks into a bar for 30 minutes and picks up the chick I was working on 3 hours.

This team was doomed when they started the season with 2 injured goalies and a host of journeymen and unknown backups. They could have had Scotty Bowman as coach and they MIGHT be hanging onto a wild card spot.

You were spot on about Giroux this past summer. I wanted G at LW until the season started and it was clear Weal wasn't the answer (and that was really early on), they should have made the change in mid October. However, I don't know they would have been able to overcome the big step backward that Provorov and Ghost took this year.

Provorov has come around but it would have been nice if it was earlier. Ghost still seems lost to me. I won't be surprised if we find out at the end of the season he played through an injury.

I think we over rate Ghost. He’s that bad away from the puck. Provorov just needs to play through things.

I never thought Ellliott or Neuvirth were that good to begin with. I never in a million years would have gave Neuvirth another deal. Mrazek had better chance of being resigned. I think that Ellliott and Neuvirth are that bad and Hextall wanted them both here.

I thought Brian Ellliott was an awesome Ottawa Senator but 2009 was ten years ago. I think he and Neuvirth suck.

The old regime of Hakstol and Hextall did a lot of things that maybe wasn't the best thing to win now, but was best in the long run. Moving Giroux to the wing and lessening his load was one of them.

Not that it matters because none if it worked out but Neuvirth was signed because the needed someone to expose in the ED, to protect Stolarz.

Elliott was serviceable until he got injured. To me, Hextall's biggest problem was holding on to players they didn't need. I know he didn't like having dead money against the cap but they had plenty of space to buyout Neurvirth this summer.
