Mark Stone is a dream scenario - sbroads24
bit too much of a dream for me to think about
have to think jb has a list of targets to play RW with Jack and partners for Dahlin, and there's plenty of good low profile fits

I don’t think it will be hard to find a RW’er to play with 9/53.
IMO Eichel has been way,way off lately and is not at 100% - sbroads24
5 game point streak and points in 8 of his last 9. Kind of hard to be consistent when an entire team’s game plan is to stop you. I’d like to see what he can do when he catches his stride so to speak. |

I don’t think he’s been bad by any stretch, just not as great as he can be |

I completely agree.
Eichel could still be hurt? Something's up?
As a pommer fan I'd like to see him get a few more games with 9 +53, but today was not good.

I don't think you can hold the last decade of lack of success at the feet of GMJB, Regier had a hand in creating the mess and Tim Murray certainly failed in his attempt to speed up the playoff process. GMJB needs to have the time to build the team in the image that he sees in his head. In his opening presser he said it was important to build the team from the bottom up. Meaning he wanted his minor league teams to experience success. this is something Murray had no interest in doing. As the team grows, the players who have had success at the Minor league level will carry that over to the big club and we should finally see the results we all yearn for. It sure won't happen this year and maybe not even next, but 2 years from today I fully expect the Sabres to have a firm hold on a playoff spot. 2 years being the end of Hutton's contract and the arrival of 6K. - macman9
Where did I say Botterill was to blame for the past decade?? Please stop! |

It's a good tweet. When Bailey/Baptiste/Fasching all failed, our RW depth was gone. Suddenly, everyone is a natural LW. - Lunaion
Very true. It wasn't long ago either. Crazy |

Wait, what’s 6mil Okposo’s role?
I don’t have an issue criticizing Tage or saying he needs to be better.
Expecting goals and points with his linemates are just flat out unrealistic. - sbroads24
I hear ya- kinda
Bc you’ve mentioned before that he’s still getting lots of chances
He isn’t converting on them though
So i don’t think it’s fair to totally absolve him for the lack of production |

Maybe.
But I can tell you with 100% certainty that Olofsson won’t be seeing line 1 time this year with Phil Housley as coach - sbroads24

I think sobotka shows up and works hard, every shift and every game.
Sure it would be nice if he scored, but not every player on every team scores.
Housley likes his consistency. As do i - Boss34
He probably does get ripped too much
(Including by me)
But it’s just so frustrating to see him being played in an offensive role when he provides NO offense
Any spot on the defensive line with Girgs & Larsson is ideal
If he needs to be in the Top9 somewhere,
then it ABSOLUTELY must be on the wing and not at Center |

If we acquire another Center...
E Rod at RW1 (for now)
Might as well see if he & Jack still have chemistry
He’s been better than the other options (besides Sam) |

What makes the Lightning so good are how frequently they cash in on their chances, but it wouldn't surprise me if they get beat as their team defense has several 'yard sale' moments in every game, even against so called lesser opponents. |

their scouting
their ability to move out players that do not see as a long term fit
their ability to go out and make a trade to improve their hockey team
their coach
their fans
these little things make tamp go from a really good team, to the best team in the regular season |

What I noticed yesterday is that this team does not finish checks, at all.
I’ve never noticed until yesterday.
They just do a drive by skating where they reach out and basically touch the other guy like they are playing tag. |

This is inaccurate.
There are some who do, and others who hit hard. Ask Johann Larsson.

Agreed.
They have done a very nice job of finding gems through out the rounds of the drafts.
Will be interesting to see if ghey make a move at or near the TDL.
RhD seems to be a potential position of interest...Bogo and retain $2m for Alex Barré-Boulet!

They chase the puck in their own end. Just stay home (in your position) and things will get better! Simple - 101 of defensive hockey in your defensive zone. |
