I think sobotka shows up and works hard, every shift and every game.

Sure it would be nice if he scored, but not every player on every team scores.

If Housley was canned and coach Q or Vigneault were in here, it would be even worse. Young kids like Nylander/Oloffson/TT would never get a chance to play in the top 6 with talent. The Scott Wilson's/Okposo's of the world who play "heavy hockey" would be given the chance.

Hunwick played the right side almost exclusively when he was in Toronto a few years back and played some in Pittsburgh as well. Probably what went into the decision.

I guess I saw him as a LD and they could have moved Dahlin over to the right and played Beaulieau. I thought Hunwick looked decent last game he played. Beaulieau is probably livid.

Only one has been hurt long term and that’s Nelson.

Botterill should have moved a D man out a while ago.

It was looking good until the entire western conference folded like a loaf of bread. They’ll be a playoff team this year. Wild lost Koivu for the year and everyone else outside of the playoffs is hot garbage.

The situation the Avalanche are in is rather enviable.
