Well when you have a bipolar team! - walleyeb1
Like a team that sometimes wins and sometimes loses? Those are the worst. |

For 3 guys who many claim are ‘no good at hockey’ any more, Keith, Seabrook & Kruger looked pretty good defending the 5 on 3.
And the lightweight Forsling - Gustafsson pairing is getting destroyed by a real forecheck.
And it’s the Bruin’s 3rd game in 4 days.
This is not a playoff caliber team. Forsling is not an NHL defenseman. Gustafsson is a 3rd pair, PP specialist. |

Looks like the team "D" is making Delia earn that new contract....Hope the poor kid don't get shell shocked.... |

5 on 3 requires zone coverage.

nobody should be fooled by that 7 game streak...they played better and the top 4 scored early and often; was not going to continue..
but they are still a defensive error prone mess and when ya give up a goal/gm on the pp = forget about it.
in 5 of those 7 wins they still gave up over 35 shots the bruins are on their way to 40 tonight |

No, some people have been very consistent in saying this is a deeply flawed team, that is unlikely to be good enough to make the playoffs.
But if you want to buy Stan & John McD’s BS, more power to you.
One Goal! should be to get some better players on the roster. |

Just tweeted... is this what it would be like if Blackhawks made the playoffs?
The Bruins have been dominating the Hawks.
This is the quality of competition that they qould be facing in round 1. - Justin Lowe
Probably, but it’s all about progression. The road back starts somewhere, make the playoffs first then work towards becoming a contender. |

Or, miss again, realize the vision for the scheme and the roster is flawed, blow it up, and rebuild based upon what actually works in the big boy league. |

I agree that this team could use a young stud (preferably a forward) that is NHL ready now, that will be a superstar in a matter of years, if not immediately..
I would love it Bowman somehow managed to acquire the 1st overall pick and snag Jack Hughes, and IMO Bowman is in a position to do so, he's had a couple strong drafts and the Hawks have plenty in the system right now. So yea Bowman could trade his 2019 & 2020 1st round picks and not have to worry too much, however I don't think that would be enough to move up to #1 assuming the Hawks draft #7-11th overall, tho I do think if the Hawks traded a guy like Keith to a contender for picks/prospects and got a 1st round pick in the deal that whichever team that drafts 1st overall would certainly consider (2) 2019 1st round picks and a 2020 1st round pick for #1 - especially if that team has a deep prospect pool, especially at center.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Keith retire a Blackhawk as a career Blackhawk, however the Hawks are pretty crowded on the back-end, and they have a plethora of young defensemen with high upside - certainly top 4 potential - so the Hawks are going to have to make some room for those guys... You never know but obviously Seabrook has no value, I suppose Bowman could move a guy like Saad and expect a 1st in the deal, Anisimov wouldn't fetch much of a return - not a 1st, so the only guy that makes sense in this hypothetical trade scenario is Keith..
So yea, I believe moving a guy like Keith makes sense if the stars align and there is a team willing to move the 1st overall pick... In that situation the Hawks would be set at center for the next decade....Having Toews, Strome and Hughes down the middle would be huge er eventually Hughes, Strome, Toews... I mean Hughes is very similar to Kane, and I think Hughes will have the same impact as Kane no matter where he lands, but it would be awful sweet having another Kane on the team, just 12 years younger but another Kane none the less... I mean with the right moves this team could be just as great as they were 5 years ago as soon as next season..
Caggiula-Toews-DeBrincat
Panarin-Strome-Kane
Saad-Hughes-Kahun
Kampf-Anisimov-Perlini
Sikura,Sikura
That top 12 could do some damage.
