Haha....you're likely dead on Bogie !!!!
Hope The Bean Counter makes some good dumps at the TDL.
Arty, Crow and Saad'r can all go. Maybe Seabs too.

Stan needs to rebuild the bottom 6 in the off season.

Toews, Kane, DeBrincat, Strome, Saad and Kahun should make up the top 6.

I’d have Caggiula in the bottom 6, but he could swap out with Saad or Kahun (who is third in rookie scoring I believe) from time to time. Other than The Drake nobody else should be safe. Maybe Sikura gets a chance, but he would be on a short leash.

A couple more guys need to bring it. Looks like this Carlo Kid is keying up on Brandon Saad, goddamnit Saad,Get mad and show some emotion this kid is skating around kicking you in the ass every chance he gets and you’re not doing nothing about it. Start running some of their guys and taking the body.

How dare you ask this team to get physical ! What ypu want them to bring back Manson and Behn Wilson . Yes !!

Kampf's had a nice year too. He's in the mix too.

Kahun would be a really solid 3rd line wing, and bring in an outsider to fill the other top 2 line wing spot. Then you’ve got something.

Well that stinks . They were due for a stinker ,felt they were shaky against Det. Sunday . Seebs had a very ruff evening .Would like to see Jokiharju back up . Bruins played well tonight ,sometimes teams step up when they suddenly lose someone of Pasternik talent . HAWKS need to get right back at it next game . Maybe Crow returns ,never hurts to get arguably A top 5 goalie back ..GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’d be ok with Kampf returning but he’s not a shoe-in. I’d be worried that JC would play Kampf above his pay grade.

Defense needs to significantly improve
... or get a top pairing guy so everyone else slots accordingly
...Unrealistic unless Joker or Boqvist steps up

Totally agree. Focus on bottom six and defense. Think they should at least keep an eye at the TDL to see if there is someone they can add now that would add value 2 or 3 years out. I believe their next window is 20-21 and then it is only for two years it three max. Should be planning now on how the team should be constructed going into that season.

Jokiharju and Boqvist are not close being major help
They are talented but not ready. Why doesn't everyone understand this. Jokiharju afraid of the heavy game and Boqvist too raw defensively. But we can enjoy them in the preseason and note their progress.

Let's chill here. Anybody who looked at the schedule for this month knew that this game was the most likely loss. Let's not discount what they did before tonight, even if they were shaky against Detroit on Sunday, as was just pointed out.

When we were all calling for the tank, this team had not melded together yet. The disarray was not Ottawa bad, but it was still pretty bad. The circumstances have obviously changed. After all the setbacks, making it to the postseason will be quite the feather in their cap, even if they do get swept by Calgary.

Boqvist is in the perfect place to learn the NA game ,and is excelling at this point . Another year of Jr. In London would be a great thing for Boqvist .I think Jokiharju was all right when he was here ,would like to see him given another shot ..

But if we can't compete here, then we have no business in being in the playoffs. It's better to lose and get more help then get swept out of round 1 again.

They need to turn the page. All things being equal, we should knock off Jersey. How they respond will say a lot about the team. Nothing terrible about getting your head handed to you. It happens every day. It's the next game that truly matters.

The two best fights I ever saw at the old Chicago stadium, the first one was Behn Wilson and Bob McGill, it started behind the net and wound up all the way at center ice. And then they fought again later in the game. The second one obviously was the St. Patrick’s Day massacre.
I would love Stan Bowman to trade for Josh Manson. I’ve been beating their drum almost as much as Mr. P has been beating the Tom Wilson drum.

Don't know what you guys who like the tough guys are so worried about:

Kane tied with Seabs and Gustafsson for the team lead in hits with 3 each

I'm totally with you on the Manson thing. Wonder what Bob Murray would be willing to take in terms of return value?

If they didn't have the current culture, I might agree with you more. Teams like Anaheim or LA, they might need to go that route.

Won't happen. I don't gamble but this would be something i i could get behind.

What does it mean if Gus finishes with 20 goals. Oh just more money but nothing outrageuos for Gus. Probably means Kane kept the scoring race close.

Don't want to read too much into a couple of games, but we'll see what culture has been established or not. I'm with you in the desire to make the playoffs. Our young guys need to witness and participate in the dance.

Jokiharju was consistently one of the best d-men on the team. He should be back on the team making a solid contribution later this season or next.

Of the current defense

- Keith and Seabrook will be back, as they should be
- Murphy will be back
- Dahlstrom should be back
- Forsling and Koekkoek each have a 50% chance of returning (at best)
- Gustafsson - I say he doesn’t return. He’s still a short term asset that could bring back a decent return. He’s a solid offensive d-man and some GM will pay for him. Stan would have to replace/upgrade Gus through free agency.
