No thanks. Dunno what Manson has done to get that type of package in return?
Borgen could be our 2nd best RHD as early as next season. - Jammerz04
manson is a beast
I would not move borgen for him, but there is not much I wouldn't move for manson
with manson, risto, borgen
it's a solid group of RD for the next 10 years |

Manson is MUCH better than Bogo,
and (IMO) a perfect fit as Dahlin’s future defense partner
That’s why I’d target him
Also... bc hes a “defensive” defenseman, he’ll never cost us a whole lot on the Cap
And Nylander’s status as a good prospect is fading
But if Botts still believes in him, then u keep Nylander and sub in another prospect (Olofsson? Asplund? etc etc)
Moving him would fall under the assumption that we don’t think he’s gonna be a legit Top6 guy
Nylander is also a “playmaker”
Not quite the goal scoring winger type we need to add
So idk if he even fits all that well going forward with us?
And if he isn’t a “fit”
Then we should absolutely explore trading him while he still has some value - jdfitz77
Trouba would make our D-Corps the best in the East once Dahlin and Pilut enter their primes.
Dahlin-Trouba
Pilut-Risto
Samuelsson/McCabe-Borgen/Laaksonen/Nelson
He is an RFA at years end and has twice requested trades out of Winnipeg. Jets are in a cap crunch too. |

We have 6
I'll give them 4 for a 2RW. They can return the ones they don't like - jcragcrumple
I brought it up a few weeks ago, and the game of throne wanna be, had a jab at me
side note, kings want to stand pat right now and see what happens this week before they move 1 or more bigger pieces up front |

Still bores me.
But “GoT wannabe” is a good one. |

They made the decision. There's obviously a basis for it. Like it or not. - Lunaion
I'm not inclined to give Housley the benefit of the doubt on personnel decisions. He (frank)s em up all the time.

AND
have a much bigger Cap hit

he is no better in year 2 behind the bench then when he was a rookie last year
the d has only slightly improved
his game management, decisions, I think a monkey could do just as good
a monkey only has a 1 in 3 chance to come back with the 4th line after you score a goal to get within 1 at home

If the team ends up with 87 points, they'll have had a 25 point improvement from last year, and yet Phil did a bad job? |

I’ll hit you with the same response you sent to me yesterday. Do you want to be good like St.Louis’, Rangers’, or Habs of the past 10 years. Or do you want to be great ? Trouba makes us great. |

Sabres have to go 15-7-5 to hit 96 points. Safe to say if they don’t win 4 of their next 6 before the deadline that we should SELL, SELL, SELL. |

I guess if u think he’s the missing piece,
then you go after him
BUT...
what extra assets does he cost?
AND...
it’s an extra 4mil? in Cap Room we won’t have to work with- that’s significant
Trouba on his own doesn’t make us great
Still more pieces to add
That extra 4mil would help |

???????????????????
after next season only eichel, okposo, dahlin, risto and hutton are under contract
botts has room to do whatever he wants to mold this team
30 mil in cap space for next season, skinner, mccabe- e rod - and ullmark need to be signed |

They won’t be the only ones under contract though
Re-signing Skinner
Sam will cost
Mitts will cost
Dahlin is gonna cost
What are the others up front we add gonna cost?
Stone? Hayes? Dzingel?
We do have Cap room to do stuff
But that doesn’t mean we can do EVERYTHING |

How about a big, mobile RhD with a meanstreak who is willing to stick his nose in the middle of a dance to protect linemates.
Wonder what they would pay for that? |
