Their schedule up to the TD. It's a favorable schedule, gotta get 8-10 points out of it to stay in the hunt. - mhp
hope we can stick in there |

I don't disagree with your prediction of what they will do.
That said, IMO it is dumb, dumb, dumb...this roster needs a massive overhaul (5 pieces minimum) and they needs to maximize their Bottcoines as much as possible. A 3rd rounder could be a nice throw-in to acquire a desired talent.
Botts simply should maximize his options for the future.
Pommer, Blow-U, Bogo, Scandella, Slobotka etc. are just not part of the future.
A another magical "run to 9th" is just not in their best interests.
Get rid of thd trash, tell the remaining boys Addition by Subtraction...now go win if you want to get into the playoffs. - IonSabres
Maatta is hurt. Maybe we can get our pick back from Pitt for Beaulieu. RFA status is nice for a team trying to pick him up.
The other 3 have another year left of their deal - good thing or bad in terms of trade? Ymmv |

Eichel won a faceoff that allowed Skinner to directly score the first goal. |

Idk what’s so funny about that. The Broncos will end their longest playoff drought of the last 48 years with that trade (2 seasons). |

Joe Flacco is avaerage at best.
He is no better than Case Keemun
They are paying each QB 18mm!
That’s nearly 40mm for bad QB play! |

That's pretty much all they said. A little odd that a rep team needs to meet with their client post game. Unless everyone's in rush mode and they're trying to hammer out fine details. |

Flacco has a SB ring. He’s a gamer. Might be average but that’s all Denver needs. Fangio has the tools in Denver that he had in Chicago on the defensive side. We have two running backs that are darn good and got Mike Munchak as our O-Line coach. We will run the ball and play good defense. Broncos are back in the playoffs next year. Keenum will be traded or released. |

My prediction is that between now and the TDL Botts is only going to make 1 move - Blow-you. We are still sniffing a playoff spot and unless things really go off the tracks, we should be within 5 or 6 points come TDL day. No way he trades Pommer if we are still remotely close. Look at what he did last year when we were 31st. He traded UFA Kane - and the return was "ok".
My expectations are low that there is any significant movement between now and the TDL. And even lower that young guys like Oloffson/Smith and Nylander are given a real.legitimate shot at playing on the Sabres at the expense of vets. |

Ottawa and Anaheim need to be stripped of their movable assets, and they have some fantastic assets. |

Eric Staal begs to differ. Another criminally underrated player. But Skinner was easily number 2. - Wetbandit1
Staal wasnt even in a Carolina uniform for the past 3 or 4 seasons.
Before that, and while skinner was on the Hurricanes, his numbers are not better then skins. Similar, but hes also a center.
Pre-skins. Maybe |

I tend to agree with you. Some on her were predicting 4,5 or even 6 players gone, but the only guy I see gone for sure is Bowles-U

I am hoping they can get a 3rd for Pommer. (They have to sell that as "practically a 4th").
He is perfect as an INSURANCE piece (not the missing link) for serious contender.
Can play up and down lineup and not hurt you, can play 1st line for short periods of time in an emergency. - IonSabres
Strange that you want to trade our 3rd leading goal scorer? We're 2 points out of a playoff spot.
Sitting to close to the TV?
Especially, everything he provides, is exactly what the Sabres need down the stretch.
If we are out of the playoffs sure, but why trade the grizzled playoff living legend for a pick when we need his services? |

It's funny that it made 2 of the Bill's AFC opponents worse at the same time.
Gotta figure defensively teams can stop a running QB in Baltimore
Gotta figure defensively teams can stop an old tall washed up qb in denver.

Minnesota may be sellers at the deadline, and if they are I wouldn't mind calling about Staal. Could come right in as our 2nd line center and has familiarity with both Skinner and Pommer. Being a 34 y/o UFA compared with others that may be available, I would not think it would cost too much. |

From Skinners 1st 5 years in the league 10/11-14/15, Staal out pointed him 314-216.
Staal also has the advantage 531-430 since Skinner has come into the league.
Just saying. |
