He could of called up the new goalie who they just signed I think, cant remember his name but used to play with philly.
The Russian maybe as well perhaps? We had 4 solid goalies in to star the season and have acquired two more, hard to give Benning a hard time on that one. - belcherbd
I don't believe they're available because they are signed to AHL contracts not NHL contracts? |

Is it worth wasting a NHL contract for a two week problem? - VANTEL
Small fries but that's not the point, they shouldn't be in this position in the first place. Flyers claimed McKenna, those (frank)ers, that's where the problems started. |

I agree partly but Flyers have to make a decision on McKenna this week so then Canucks can reclaim him or or another Flyer goalie.Unless they send down Hart.
Demko was only expected to miss 10 days.
I do find it funny that Team Tank have issues with this |

Jim Benning should honestly lose his job. Incredible. I'm not saying if we had a scrub back up in it would be any different but why are we in this position other than poor management. Incredible. - Jkuzzi

The issue isn't with losing, from my point of view, it's about sending out a junior "A" kid to play against one of the best teams in the league. They were probably going to lose anyways, so again, that's not the point. |

If the kid is too fragile to play the sharks for one game as a 20 year old then he probably has no future so who gives a (frank)? He will be fine. He is playing at home and the crowd is managing his feelings well |

No Vantel it's not, you're missing the point totally because you don't want to acknowledge it. DiPietro is a JUNIOR age player, he's not an American League callup. That's my point.
I fully support sitting vets and calling up AHL'ers, that's what I want. That has nothing, nothing, to do with my opinion on how Benning put himself in a position to have to call up a junior age player to play in the NHL.
It's the equivalent of calling up Tyler Madden and expecting him to play 22 minutes as first line center because Pettersson and Horvat went down. Just not fair to the kid, setting him up to fail.
Anyways, DiPietro won't care, he played an NHL game, but that's not the point either. |

I don't want to get into a long debate but the purpose to Tank is to lose. You should be doing cartwheels down Granville.
