We're adults. Even D. He just is the same size as a child. There is no reason for MODS on an opinion board. Just because some people get their undies in a bunch is no reason to ruin the flow that has been happening on this thread since some changes were made.
You don't like what someone post, just scroll on by. Lord knows I do it every time Mo post. - Elbows15
Below the belt, Bows. That shouldn't mean you should think little of him or his short term memory ... I don't mean to belittle the point. |

The talk of mods and little people, just holding things under a microscope, haha.
You better not have another short joke, because I'm running low on them. |

Hahaha, could be. But I don't think he's going to see his pet for quite some time. |

Well, instead of Stan signing Manning & Davidson and the rest of the crap he signed, Calvin de Haan was available. This year in Carolina he's playing 19 minutes per game. He's +3, with a CF of 55.95%, a SCF of 52.49% & HDCF of 52.78%. He would have been a bridge to give some of the drafted D time to play in the A, and he'd be better than most of the D that the Hawks run out there nightly. An upgrade over anyone not named Keith or Murphy.
That's one possible example. - scottak
You started by saying that JC is a bad coach and should have implemented a system that hides the deficiencies.
I stated that the Hawks were trash defensively under Q and JC, and asked what system could be implemented that would fix the problem, and you follow that with “sign better players”?

Anyone watching Edm-Pit? Although I don't want Edm to win, it is very frustrating watching Pit. Crosby slashes Larson's stick and breaks it, yet he draws a penalty when Larson checked him. I wish Kane would get that kind of treatment. |

Good idea that’s one subject I never get involved with On these boards, I’m moving off of Tom Wilson and On to Josh Manson, Washington isn’t dealing Wilson, and Manson would look really good on the backend for the Hawks , While having shades of daddy, he can also play in today’s game. - wonthecup10
I'm all for Manson. He's probably the player I'd desire the most on the Hawks... Punishing D-Man with some offensive offside and former Hawk as dad. His dad was my favorite player. Luckily Smitty was tough as nails with solid skills or I would have been completely heartbroken on that trade. |

Brandon Saad's name hasn't been mentioned as of late. With him making 6mill along with Anisimov and his 5mill, it just seems like a lot of dough wrapped up in the bottom 6. While the return for AA would probably be minimal, I wouldn't be surprised if Saad fetched a pretty good return if the Hawks were willing to listen. His versatility, youth and experience may draw interest from teams looking to add offence. Could even be part of a bigger deal involving Forsling and/or Hayden. |

Hear ya but Stan made such a big deal of Saad’s extra 2 years that Panarin didnt have to trade him now would look really bad. I would. Dont think Stan would.

He's such a streaky player. As he's playing now, I'd want to keep him- solid 2-way, winning battles for pucks and driving to the net. The way he was playing for the mid 20 games, I wanted to trade him. |

As much as we've talked about him, when's he going to rise to the occasion? Does he gotta be this tall to use the computer? |

Well yeah, but that was my original point. Scottak was pinning it on the system. Just trying to figure out what others would do differently (scheme-wise) to make our D better. It sounded like there was an idea in there somewhere. |
