Yeah that one's hard, Umberger was out cold. I guess, when I think about it, there was one on Ronnie Strern a billion years ago that was probably the hardest, as Steve Smith could lay the hammer.



This one stands out because Kapanen is aware enough that he needs to get to the bench, his legs just won't let him.

I wouldn't put Despres as a bust. He was pretty good and got a good contract in Anaheim before got concussed. Morrow sucked and Esposito was probably our biggest bust tbh.

hahaha yeah now that you mention it, a lot of the current Pens important home grown players (Letang, Rust, Guentz, Dumo, Simon, ZAR and Teddy) are all outside the 1st round or were never drafted and signed by Pens. Maatta turned out good for 22nd overall. Regular NHL spot since he was 19.

Obviously Sid and Geno turned out ok from the 1st round.
