Oilers are 6 points out of 2nd WC with 2 games in hand...That's pretty close. We have to keep in mind the teams the Pens are playing most nights are fighting for their playoff lives too. They'll battle hard.

How has Sully been concieously running Cullens line out against McDavids line throughout the third? What planet is this - kfinl170
I honestly think he has Cullen shadowing. Or trying to anyway.

I thought he had Sid against McD a lot tonight. Dumo deserved the 2nd star tonight. He was great. |

All things considered, jmfj and rikola have been serviceable tonight. Maybe hanging by a thread in standings lit a fire or something, but the whole team appears to be playing better through my eyes. JMFJ is here to stay, so might as well just accept it and hope for the best.

I really think a I would like McCann a lot of he were a winger. He has a decent amount of goalscoring instinct but I’m not really noticing him on a shift to shift basis, which is not good for a center.
EDIT: and yes I know that was an empty netter I’m just talking about in general. The dude can definitely finish. |

He did but I noticed at least twice in the third McD hopped on then Cullen line was out there 5 seconds later |

Also I thought Chad played a great game especially not playing in 3 months... and how do you take Teddy out of the lineup? |

Going off precedent, he just needs one bad game where he looks out of place. |

Whats o'le HCMS gonna do now with Geno back again Saturday, I wonder. IMO it should be:
59-87-17
14-71-81
12-27-72
63-19-10
This leaves 7 and 43 out. ...not happening, I know. Pens do have a smidgen of forward depth now with everyone healthy. |

Blueger should be in every game. The kid is good at both ends of the ice. |

I don't think Simon gets a jersey next game. The depth forwards all looked good last night, obvisously one guys comes out for Malkin but I think they all played well enough to keep Simon out of the line up for now. Having guys who haven't been terrible scratched is great for the team. Keeps guys like Blueger, Wilson etc going because they know capable guys like Aston-Reese and Simon and chomping at the bit to get back it. Internal competition is great. |

I agree. Wasn't a superstar by any means, but looked solid enough out there. RNH went invisible after he got plastered my JJ. |

Nonono... dont agree. Show me he still sucked. DK had a love fest article to Johnson today and I'm super unhappy with this. |

I'm not saying I expect last nights play for the remainder of the season, but, if some how some way he played the way he did last night for the remainder of the season/playoffs he'd be a perfectly acceptable bottom pairing guy. |

Nope (frank) having him be acceptable. I dont feel like finding a new player to hate. Mostly because Cullen doesnt play enough minutes. |

He wasnt that good, more so maybe not as noticeably bad hahah....certainly not deserving of a love-fest article. Had a nice hit on RNH. I find he has a nice hit alot of games...still doesnt mean he should dress over anyone else when they're all healthy.
Rudy was a nice surprise after such minimal game time this season and a long layoff. He had some nice plays. |

Yes, Ruhwedel also looked good last night- especially considering his lengthy lay off. Good think they had JJ carrying him. LOL |

I'd keep Simon out in favor of Bleuger. Cullen isn't coming out either and Sully loves ZAR so I imagine Wilson is out......which he shouldn't be. It wouldn't surprise me if Pearson got scratched at this point. He's not been noticeable enough. |
