The word "boring," or some variation thereof, was used often last night on social media and in chat rooms and it's hard to understand the driving force behind someone's decision to watch and follow a team. Would you rather see an entertaining 6-5 loss or a boring 3-1 win?
I could care less how they win, if they have to play a style of hockey that is boring and they win, then so be it. The NJD played a horribly boring style of hockey that won them multiple cups. I think we all could live with that.....

I think Pach just took a direct shot at me because I suggested that after the Carolina loss. OK, I probably deserve it. A win is always better than an entertaining loss.
BTW - I thought Larsson was the #2 star after Ullmark. Great game by him and the 4th line overall. - SabreWest
not directed at you specifically, just what I saw in general last night...I also went back to my buffalosabresnow blogs from 2011 and the same thing was going on back then

If the choice is win boring, or lose fun, the answer is win.
But I'd rather win fun and lose fun than win boring and lose boring
Minnesota may be sellers at the deadline, and if they are I wouldn't mind calling about Staal. Could come right in as our 2nd line center and has familiarity with both Skinner and Pommer. Being a 34 y/o UFA compared with others that may be available, I would not think it would cost too much. - adambuffalo
