Which picks would we have to throw in on top of that?

It’s a little steep but we are getting two top 6 players in return

- Shadman306

my guess is a first

I am for that

offer sheet someone this summer

you have 3 first round picks at the draft, use your next 4 first round picks (2020-23) to get an all star player

rant, marner, point, tkachuk, Aho etc

or work out a trade for trouba

lots of options this summer

I don't think your moving okposo to get zucker and brodin

nylander, guhle, mccabe, asplund, olofsson, picks
it would be a 4 from us for 2 type situation

then throw in a sheary or sobotka for the cap, maybe scandella if mccabe is not involved

but it's quality going back to wild on the cheap and 1 short cap hit

if something like this was to happen

- homiedclown

I didn't mean just Okposo but if he could be part of a deal with some retained, I would be all for it.

I think okposo should start hanging out with Hossa and hopefully catch the same allergy to his equipment.

I like the Zucker idea since he has term and would be 2LW with Mitts and Reinhart.
- Pegullaville

Same here. Maybe a trade just for Zucker and not the others. I'm sure we could make a good offer.

I hate to say it though. Everything I’ve heard about him points to him being a great guy and true professional.

Just seems like something broke in his brain from his reaction to those concussion meds

If you want Zucker, Brodin or Granlund you're gonna have to pony up. It will cost.

lots of players just fall off in skills around the 30 year range

it's a faster game

moulson
richards
cheechoo

most people have no clue how bad it is on the boarder

my brother is a boarder patrol, he tells me stories

I have 2 friends that live in mexico, they tell me stories

nbc, cbs, abc, cnn, msnbc ignore these stories

- homiedclown

Roy9er suffered a gruesome quad injury, to be fair. Being a raging party master didn’t help, either.

BTW, does anyone know what REALLY happened to Moulson? I mean, they had Jack living with him and his family for Pete’s sake! There has got to be a reason.

.. He was no longer good at hockey? He road JT's coattails for the majority of his career. He cashed in and topped 40 points in Buf and Min after twice in 5 seasons (and barely over 40 at that). Don't get me wrong, seems like a great dude, prolly why he offered to have ECHL live with him. Also forced himself into a career as an UDFA (9th round actually). He played hard, got rewarded, but was never a star player. End of story.

He always had the top speed of a Geo Tracker, but when he turned 30, one of the wheels fell off, and the remaining 3 got flats

Brodin, Zucker and Granlund might all be in play as wild look to build roster depth

Assuming Skinner signs, Zucker is an upgrade over anyone else for second LW
Granlund is easily in our top 2 RW's if we get him

Does Brodin become our best LD if they flip Dahlin to the right?

Brodin-Dahlin
Mccabe-Risto
Pilut-Bogo

all 3 of these wild players are in the age range for the sabres moving forward

only chatter I heard last night was islanders and bolts looking at our 4th liners
and heard flames might kick the tire on beaulieu if we retain a good chunk of salary

- homiedclown

Those guys from Minny are interesting,
but they’re in the playoff hunt
All we’d really have for those guys are futures, so I’d think a deal with them wouldn’t happen till the offseason

I would retain to get rid of Bowl-U..

I would love to see Botts get Rickard Rakell from the Ducks... I would give up a #1 ++ for him.

- hehateme

Idk why ppl keep bringing him up?
I thought I’ve read he’s one of the few guys the Ducks would NOT move

youre all dreaming. but youre entitled to dream.

There is zero chance of us making a move to get anyone you've ever heard of. Don't be silly. Botts is gonna move Bowl-U out and bring in someone for the 22/28 line.

Last time Buffalo traded with Tampa was June of 2000.

Minnesota is tied with Nashville, St Louis, Montreal, and Washington for second most trades since June of 2003 with 5.

Calgary leads the way with 6 in that time frame.

80 trades in total have been made since 6/13/03.

Notbsaying that wouldn't happen, but that makes zero sense.
They already have like six 4th liners....
Girgs
Larry
ERod
Okposo
Slobotka
Wilson
Even sheary is close to 4th line material

They shouldn't be focused on bringing in more to build around those two who are FA's at seasons end ... sell them for anything.

To fit Point at around 10mil,
Tampa is gonna have to trade a few guys in the offseason
Callahan seems almost a sure thing- and they’ll probably have to add to get rid of him
They’ve got some good young players in the AHL
If they wanna send us one, I’d take on the last year of Callahan at 5.8m
It’s gotta be a prospect Botts really likes though

Then they’ll have to dump Palat or Killorn,
for a pick most likely
Both decent players, but at their salaries i’d pass

They could move Tyler Johnson or Jt Miller instead, but idk why they’d want to?

So Mattias Janmark for Beaulieu and a shiny 5th

I don't believe they will trade away at this TDL...rather, to get a lower-end rental for their 4th line.
I could be wrong as they do have significant Cap room this season and may want to tip the scale even moreso than they have produced so far.

Their offseason is going to be interesting as they do have to make some moves...letting older UFA's walk to be replaced by young players on ELC's that they have already broken in. I could see them moving JT Miller before his No Trade clause kicks in...and if they could pay to move Callahan that would give them wiggle room.

Yeah... any trades they make at the deadline will be to ADD a guy who’s a RENTAL

I can’t see them trading Jt Miller
Why wouldn’t they just move Palat or Kilorn (similar cap hits) instead?

He only makes $2.5M. This would be a silly deal for the Sabres. If that is the deal for Beaulieu, they should be working instead on finding a way to get him back in the lineup.
- Der Kaiser

He's an RFA by season's end. Retain all 50% for the best return, it means nothing.

Here's what the Sabres can actually do, theoretically because offer sheets are unicorns. These are 2018 numbers cause lazy.

Offer:

$1,339,575 or less (no comp)
$1,339,576 to $2,029,659 (3rd) - Sheary must not hit 20g or 40 points and Hunwick must not be traded
$4,059,323 to $6,088,980 (1st & 3rd) - Same as above
Over $10,148,302 (4 1sts) - Anyone pay the next 4 year's 1st round picks for Brayden Point or Sebastian Aho? Cause that's the only offer sheet that, were they to actually exist, have a remote chance of actually completing
