While Jets, Flames or Preds sell the entire farm for Stone, watch San Jose snag Simmonds or Panarin for less. Doug Wilson is all in this year with Erik Karlsson’s future uncertain. Hope the Sharks win it all, I like Thornton and Burns a lot. - EnzoD
I would love Stone in a Hawks uniform next October, helluva player. And with some selective deletions, Stanbo could do it. Screw bringing back the Russian mercenary. |

Hahah see my 2nd post. Sign me up for either one. Local boy Dzingel would be a nice addition at a cheaper price too. My Dad played men’s league with Dzingel’s dad for years too with the Duffers out in Bolingbrook. |

Ducks shutout again now have 5 goals scored in their last 6 games played. Word is they are going to tear it down and start from scratch.

And that is exactly what they should do. They need a number 1 dman and he could be the guy.
They guy to move is Murphy
Then go -
Gus & EK
Keith & Joki
Koekkoek & Seabs & Dahlstrom |

Rick might break something when it happens, but Arty Breadman is going to be a Blackhawk again on 7/1/19, book it!!!
- EnzoD
I know this is not a smart thing to do it would not surprise me if they engineered a trade for this kidAt the deadline and gave Columbus one of the young defense prospects and other assets.
With a pre-done deal that he is going to sign an extension,If that’s the case would love to see the deal expanded possibly to include Boone Jenner also come back this way,Repeating it is not the smart thing to do but it is famous PR splash which they are known to take part time |

Toronto needs more cap space, they’d be interested in Gus (plus) in a deal for Kapanen. Also, if the Hawks have Karlsson they can afford to give up Gus. |

Unless StanBo has scandalous blackmail, or Rocky wire transfers $30 mil to Seabs’ offshore bank account....there’s no way #7 walks away from all that guaranteed money. Need a compliance buyout, trade to Seattle, or LTIR. |

This! Just like Doughty´s new deal which kicks in next summer. 11 mil x 8 years. Doughty will be 38 when that deal expires. Not so good. |

Yeh, because none of those other players are mercenaries .... makes sense.

Would the hawks be better off waiting until he summer to trade him? He’d lose his partial ntc and if the hawks traded him after the bonus was paid he may have more people willing - Abadseed
I agree, you are 100% correct. My only concern is not being able to move him before free agency opens...kind of like what happened with Hossa last year. We were finally able to trade Hossa after all the good free agents had signed. And we have yet to use that cap savings to our advantage. So in therory, I totally agree with you. I just am not so sure to trust Bowman on getting it done prior to free agency. That said, Bowman has done a nice job this year with his deals. I guess time will tell.

This is very exciting...
I have no doubt they're going all in on Panarin. Kane's two most productive seasons have come with Arty on his other wing. This is the move McD wants for sure. The convention splash and makes your best player even more excited to come to the rink...the question is will they try to trade for him now or just wait it out. I'm sure the UC faithful will give the Breadman a warm welcome tonight.
As far as AA - its an interesting riddle. Depth centermen are always a need for any team. Moving that cap hit though and clearing more space may tip the scales.
Meanwhile though the biggest concern remains the defense. Pat mentioned what about going all in on Karrlson...if he makes it to the open market. You'd love to see a couple of vet dmen (not Brandon Manning) that can actually play here next year.
On the home front - the defense continues to be a fire drill in its own end and the PK has been dreadful. You've got a bunch of can't miss prospects until they miss. The question is how long are you prepared to wait to see which of the kids pan out while the clock continues to tick. |

If the Hawks can move him at the TDL, they should do it then. Why wait at all? Move him and his contract so that frees guaranteed money up to use this summer. I like Anisimov, but I do not see him being with this team the next time they are legitimate contenders. Just my opinion. - frafra

Lets say we somehow get Panarin back. Him and Kane have to be on a line together. Do you team them will Toews? Strome and Cat have to be together too. I know its a nice problem to have...but what would your lines be next year?

if they are going to continue giving up 3.5 goals/gme they better find away to avg 4 plus...panarin might help toward that end.
i am not a panarin guy nor do i think they should invest 8-10 mil for 7 or 8 years for him given their other well known deficits and contract issues...
i do think CBJ moves him...they can't afford to let him walk after season for nothing

Lines next year;
Top 6
Strome, Toews, Kane, Panarin, ADB ... ?
Next 6
No depth
Defense
With the exception of an aging Keith and maybe Murphy the rest are AHL calibre
Goalie
Delia and ?
Trading for or signing Panarin would be sure way to ensure the same fans calling on Bowman to acquire him will be calling for Bowman 's head next season when it becomes apparent 5 good players won't even get the team into the playoffs, let alone make them a contender. |
|
|
|
Friday night. The Edmonton Tankers, they don't go all out, what a waste for McDavid. Tonight I'm sure Panarin will be seduced at the United Centre. |
