Before they lost to Boston, they cut the game to a goal early in the third. |

It would be ideal to add a guy like Trouba to slot Murphy appropriately as your 5D. He's shown a lot of improvement this year, but some pretty huge mistakes like tonight. - EnzoD
He's had a bad game. It happens to ever D-man. They all make mistakes. |

Murphy will be fine in a second pairing role. One night doesn't change the fact he is a top 4 defenseman |

Ok, then add Trouba to keep Seabs playing 14 minutes on pair 3 |

Not sure if I’ve ever seen a guy who’s 6’3” 215lbs weaker on the puck than Perlini. He wins no puck battles.
Bob another huge stop on Cat. Duck! Then kahun then Saad! - EnzoD
Kruger wins far more puck battles than Perlini. |

I definitely would not be against having Trouba on the team |

That would be better. Trouba is a RFA. Hawks aren't in the position to give up the assets it will cost for Trouba. Or the cap space he will command. You end up with a bad team in cap hell. |

Yeah. Perlini is one of the rare guys that just really pisses me off. He has to give his balls a tug and man up |
|

|
Yeh, they look great against all the non-playoff teams. Good team like BOS and CBJ are eating their lunch. - scottak
No, more like Bobrovsky is eating their lunch. The Hawks have had ample good scoring chances to be ahead in this game but the Bob is playing great.

It's really hard to continue to have faith in Perlini. Kunitz is pretty useless too. Meanwhile John Hayden, who has played great of late, is watching from the press box. |

Yup. Over the last month or so Hayden has done everything asked of him and he's worked his ass off and played well. At the same time, I understand the situation the team is in. Kunitz didn't sign here to sit on the bench forever, and the Hawks need to see if they can tap into any Perlini potential. |

Bob is way out of the crease. Some forward needs to be behind him and impede his way back to the crease. |

But it's not working. We were told Q pressured to have Kunitz signed and the dude is playing MORE with Colliton. He offers NOTHING. Perlini, I get the potential, dude is big and fast and poop, but does absolutely zero on the ice. The fourth line of Kruger/Perlini/Kunitz is a farce. |

I'm with you 100%. I want Hayden in over Perlini always. But the team is doing it's due diligence and making sure what they have. Did the same thing with Duclair last year and then they let him walk. |

Here I was worried after perhaps their best period of the year we would not have anything to complain about. |

Send me the rules for what we should post about. Give me a break, the team was great, but the fourth line is crap. If you can't stomach reading poop you don't agree with then log off. |

Think part of Hayden's issue is him trying to do too much when he has the puck. He is pressing to make an impression. And its hurting his effectiveness. He needs to simplify. Get pucks deep. Give the puck up and then get himself in the slot to get off his shot. He has a helluva wrister. FFS, he is one of the few forwards who actually doesn't bury hiself below the goal line in the O-zone when the Hawks already 2 guys in there.
kunitz and Perlini both need to get used to the nachos in the pressbox. |

So Stanbo convinced Chayka that Schmaltz was a better player than Strome and told him he had to throw somebody else in to finalize the trade. And Chayka threw in Perlini. Now we know why. F'n useless. |

Please, try Gustafsson at forward. He has more talent/skill in the offensive zone than half of the Hawk forwards. - scottak
Never fails. The obligatory Gus as a forward post. |
