They'll have you duct taped and drawing Richards on your face by lunch the first day. Go for the grade school kids, they are easier to scare. - 6628

I know, but I still need to tone it down. Hahaha. I don't think you're set up to be pm'ed. You have to initiate. - I Am The Breadman
Oh, I gotta check that.
Dry humor means your smart. I excel at that and like you probably wit. Only problem is you need someone on your brain level to "get it". |

Sadly, yes. I'm not in this profession for the money. I want to be in service to others, I like that. I also want to be a step in the right direction as there are enough poopty teachers out there. |

I understand, and why I mentioned it. Yes, like you said never work a day in your life. Just make wise investments with the leftovers.
Smartest guy I know, my brother attorney. Can't hold a flame to street smarts and can't read/understand a book of matches.
I attempted to send you a PM did it work? |

In those game’s that Sikura played before this season and those game’s he played now he have not showed much. And why Kunitz play over Hayden ? I think Hayden have played well those last game’s he played.
Bring up Martinsen again and a 4 line like Martinsen - Kruger - Hayden. We need someone that can hit a bit. Or maybe bring up Ejdsell. |

Well tough break on that 4th goal ,really seemed to take the wind out of the team sails ,what a fluke . Murph had a tough game to say the least ,he will be okay it happens . Dalhstrom has been exposed a lot lately ,maybe needs to go back down .Bring up Raddish for a look .thought it was a great move to sign that kid . AVS lost Clucks are behind and if ST.L keeps rolling HAWKS will not lose much ground ,except to the coyotes who beat the legendary Leafs . Well that's the league we live in ,going to be a mud wrestle till the end ..GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - oldduffman
Perhaps you missed reports on Raddish. He is an offensive player who looks too much to score at.the expense of missing his defensive assignments..in other Words much like Gus |

Anyone catch Foley blast #68 at the beginning of the 3rd? I thought Pat sounded like the Grumpy Old Man from years past on SNL. He was very sarcastic and did not seem to think much of the Hawks last night. Do like unbiased announcing, but maybe Pat should listen to himself the last several years. I would describe his announcing the way he described the play by Slater as “awful.” |

I’d play Hayden or Kunitz too, but it’s not likely to make much difference as both are only playing 7-8 minutes.
I think we’ll see some calls after the trade deadline. I don’t think this reference surge will change Stan’s plans. I didn’t expect a busy TDL from the Hawks, maybe Kruger and (if he waives his NTC) Kunitz. The only non-pending UFA that could go is Gustafsson. I like what Gus brings to the team but I don’t think he’s in the long term plans so it would make sense to deal him if the return is right.
Playing devils advocate for a moment... if Stan were to re-sign Gus, what would be a reasonable contract? |

Another 2 year deal, nothing higher than 2.0 per season. Give Boqvist time until he is ready to QB the PP. |

I'm afraid he'll get much more than 2m since he scores a lot of points. It cost 2.25 for useless plugs like Manning and Rutta so I'm guessing he'll be north of 3.
Edited to add: He's 14th in the league in scoring for defensemen, 2 points behind Barrie and tied with Petry, who both make 5.5M. Since he will be an UFA after next season, I think he'll cash in despite his defensive deficiencies... |

If Sikura cannot contribute any offence, then what is the reason for being in the lineup? Because he offers nothing else. That open net chance he blew by shooting the puck into the goalie pads with the top of the net open could have been a game changer.
And once again AA outplayed Strome. |

Maybe it’s tine to sell high on Strome, package him up with ADB for some grit. Trade them both to Edmonton for Lucic and Kassian. |

I don’t know if Sikura will ever approach his college promise - but unless you criticize every other player who was ever in the league for hitting into a goalie’s pads with an open upper half of the net, I don’t th8nk you can go after him for it.
Toews did the same against Bob on the other side - they all do it. Lifting the puck - in close - with almost no time to execute the good shot - if part of hockey. |

I’m thinking Gus could get $3-$4 million as a UFA, the only question is the term 3-4 years would be the max I’d be willing to go. |

When Strome begins to show up against the better teams, I will become just as enamoured with him. Kane, for example, does not pick his spots. Nor does ADB for that matter.
And with what Kassian offers at his cap hit, I would have him on my team. |

I thought Strome played very well last night. He made several good passes that led to high quality chances - one of which was finished by Kane and the others were stopped by Bobrovsky. Comparing him to Kane is a little unfair and I didn't notice much difference between him and ADB in terms of good plays made.

Last 10 games against teams currently in the tournament - Strome is 3+7=10
Point per game - 24 goal pace
Not great but not bad.
Last 5 games against tournament teams - 2+7=9.
(I included the first five because I didn’t want to be accused of cherry picking games). |

You’re right, he should be compared to Toews.
They’re both under performing, 3rd overall picks and they both play center. |

I would guess that's in the neighborhood. He (and Strome) sure have helped revive the PP and he is useful driving offense, especially in late game situations. Whether or not he figures things out defensively is the big question. It's not like he's blocking anybody in the system at this point.
