Very true and the next 3 games are big, they are all big but 6 points against non playoff teams would be a great start. They have to believe...
95 points might be the bubble. 26 games left with 63 points.
Sabres need to go 15-8-3 and that will get them to 96.

It might be a lot to ask but if the Sabres win the next 3 games, that is a great start to 15-8-3. It will also bring confidence and possible trade help. If they don't get 6 points, I think Botts may hold his cards (picks) and only dump Beaulieu for a late round.

What non-playoff team wants a rental? He controls where he goes now, pretty much. Or makes the team keep him.

He wont get traded. A bottom feeding team is not trading for him. So if he blocks the "top" teams that would likely want him, they are not allowed to trade to them.
