Nor do I. But like everyone else (other than the big 3), he has no finish.

No I wouldn’t suggest he is a scorer but a decent player regardless

Wasn’t Koskenin like the man in the KHL? I won’t take away KHL success but there is a difference between the two leagues

Koskinen was very solid, but I think you’re thinking of Sorokin or Shestyorkin.

Regardless we should ignore the KHL at our peril. Panarin has taught us that at least.

I dunno. He might be tempted due to McDavid, much like Panarin was with Kane.

Gusev-McDavid-Draisaitl

*stroke, stroke, stroke*

You could even put Pirri with Drai on another line to see how they play together

The way the game is played in Europe with the angles and less speed makes it a goalies league. Not saying it is necessarily easy for goalies to thrive, but it's much more advantageous for them.

I wouldn’t ignore the KHL I would just not expect the same kind of results unless the results actually happened

Any idea if Sorokin will be tempted to come over?

I just came up with Drai and Pirri because you wanted to test drive Gusev with McDavid but that’s an improved top 6 there as well

Haven't read anything to say he is. Since moving back to Canada, I haven't been able to do much in terms of KHL stuff other than reading Russian articles and streaming a game or two every month.

I’m almost tempted to look up Yak and see how he is doing over there...at least I think he is over there

He can bolt then we have his NHL rights....he is a pending RFA and that’s what I mean by the Oilers hold the cards....I have said numerous times that this team has failed him in a big way with his development but at the end of the day he doesn’t get to call his own shots either
- RatedR80

Oilers hold no cards

At the end of the year, he can go to the KHL and the Oilers can do nothing to stop him

Read the rest of what I said....he can’t play in the NHL either for another team....I don’t know what’s difficult to understand here....if he wants to be a career KHL guy then ok but he won’t be playing in the NHL
