Some but he has a lot of options. - SABRES 89
Yes he does.
Obviously we won't be going after UFAs, or, HOPEFULLY.
We need help on defense most of all, IMO. We have exactly 2 worth a crap. |

I heard Duchene linked to the Sabres again today from the same guy on twitter. Don’t know if it’s hot air but the guy has been right in the past. - Pegullaville
Not unless it's a sign and trade and even then, no thanks. |

If we don’t use 2/3 first rounders I’ll be disappointed. I’d prefer all 3 but if the right trade comes along that can improve the team as early as next season but the player can be here for the long haul then make that trade. (I really like Trouba). - Pegullaville
2 1st round picks should be moved without a question to better this team, why keep waiting year after year. Like I said if not, why bother keeping Eichel. |

I’d prefer just waiting till July 1st for Duchene. Take a run at him then. Was just posting what I saw that’s all. |

I heard his name 1 time and that was awhile ago, he will cost us but we have what it takes to get him. But I wouldn't count on it, who is saying this ? |

Well you know what’s going on in the inside and what players they might be talking about but I have no idea who might be available that helps us “for now on”. If the picks are dealt I’d hope they’d be for players 25 and under. |

didn't say cast them aside, I said it's time to move forward with NHL talent and stop with the picks and prospects. This team is past the rebuilding stages. - SABRES 89
if they can't get some meaningful contributions from the current crop of prospects, then they really aren't past the rebuilding stage

Twitter handle is @iamhockey. Goes by Hockey 24/7. He has called some things in the past but he’s been wrong just as often as he’s been right. He has mentioned Sabres have talked with Ottawa regarding Duchene and with the Kings regarding Toffoli. Only brought him up cause I know you and Homie have brought up Toffoli before so maybe this guy isn’t completely full of poop. |

They're past, to keep stock piling picks and prospects moving forward is a joke. Meanwhile another team that hasn't won a cup will win one. |

Toffoli has been a player both GM's here have liked. Never heard of the guy you mentioned and I don't do Twitter. |

I don't know what will help them now because they look lost. Like I mentioned earlier tonight, to many players on this team with front row seats, just watching every game. |

Yeah, like I said, we should avoid UFA's at all costs, I mean if it was September again sure, go for one but not now.
I'd like some dark-horse names to be gone after.
Chicago looks like they might squeak into the playoffs so I doubt they are going to sell hard at the TDL.
I would dangle two firsts to Arizona for OEL. That would give us a formidable top-3 on defense.
Pominville's salary off the books this year, Sobotka next, Berglund already gone, Risto signed to a team-friendly deal. We could make room under the cap and still end up trading Risto for another solid piece of we needed.
Other than that, I'd love me some Thomas Hertl but I doubt San Jose considers moving him. Jamie Benn wants out of Dallas hard supposedly but the cost and his cap hit is out of the question. |

Girgensons, Larsson, Sobotka, Scandella, Bogosian, Sheary, Beaulieu and most of all Okposo need to go. Although Okposo is probbaly immovable. |

I believe the idea is to use one 1st round pick for a player like Toffoli, keep the rest and go after a quality UFA player like Duchene, Stone, or even Brock Nelson, that way they still draft multiple times in the first round while having quality players signed while those players develop. |

I have no issue with anything you just posted but, I would have no issue with them moving 2 of 3 1st we have for quality. |

Ship them all out no question, I would add a 1st to move Okposo. |

Sure feels like you're saying they don't have enough talent in the pipeline, but are pressured to move forward anyways. Maybe I'm just reading you wrong.

People say Jamie Benn, you know what that will put us cap wise with with him, Eichel, Skinner, Risto, Dahlin and others? Benn is pushing it. |

I like the idea of Toffoli and Duchene, but their combined salary in 2 years is scary if you count on an extended Skinner. |

It does, but $14-$15M combined between the two annually is a bit frightening. |

That is exactly what I am referring to. I mean I’d like to use all 3 picks but I can definitely see the SJS pick along with a few other pieces being moved to get us another top 6 FWD or RHD to play with Dahlin. Use Free Agency to sign some role players that are actually worth the salary we pay them not like 3/4 of the bums on the roster. It’s all dependant on Botts moving out the trash though. |

Toffoli isn't worth 7 a year, just my opinion. I know you mean Skinner and Duchene. |
