FYI. Yeast boy. I did see what you did. I just stored it for future reference. |

I will settle for better puck management. That would help a little. Too many times they turn the puck over trying to make the tough play instead of just taking what is there. - Elbows15
Yeah, I won't argue with that either, especially when we lead the league in some God awful categories. Not being 31st in pk would be a huge help though. Not turning the puck over in high danger areas would be nice or killing the momentum in the offensive zone, but I feel like that's always going to happen. It's unavoidable, imo. Even the best players do it. |

Defensive forwards, definitely a need on this team. Still young, not so much Copp, but could be cheap. - I Am The Breadman
Copp is only 24 and Tanev 27. I think they could find a place on the Hawks. Tanev is a UFA in the summer, so maybe then.
The Hawks need to overhaul their bottom 6 and defense this summer. Offense is ok. |

Good to see the two worse defensive teams in the league battling it out for the top GAA award. |

I just looked it up on Capfriendly and still manage to screw-up matching ages to names. Another minus on the night for me. My bad.
They can wait until the summer and sign some ufa's from the cap-strapped teams. It's nice when the shoe is on the other foot, but we still managed to win cups.
I get people wanting to make a big splash, I really do, and I'm Artemi's biggest fan, but it's not needed. Why can't we "make a big splash" by being smart and effeciently using all of our cap space on actual team needs? Our top 6 is pretty great, 8 goals cough. The bottom 6 can chip in here and there, but needs to be better defensively speaking. The defense just needs to not suck. We still have some good dmen, and up and coming, but I'm not putting all my eggs in the prospect basket. I think Ward comes back, unless Crow plays incredibly, same for Delia. Lock up Strome and Adb. |

future HOF Joe Thornton at 39years old with his 5th career hat trick tonight. 21 yr old Alex Debrincat has 4 career hat tricks. Thornton 6 points behind Stan Mikita on all time scoring. Obviously Thornton always a pass first guy, but shows how impressive The Cat is. |

Boston just tied that game late on a bogus goal off a high stick that was clearly AT LEAST one foot above the cross bar...
I’m confused...how is San Jose not allowed to challenge that? How is it not reviewed by the refs??
You’re telling me a team can challenge and refs can eventually overturn goals based on goalie interference or offsides calls that happen 30 seconds before the puck goes in and have NOTHING to do with the goal...but not that?!?!
That’s absurd
Sharks just got robbed |

I suppose you watched or noticed that your Russian pal Artemi posted the big goose egg tonight when it came time for his team to knock heads with a real NHL team. It wasnt anywhere near the fun for him to play against Victor Hedman or Ryan McDonagh as it was Saturday night rolling over the Rockford's finest Dmen. Thats the Artemi I know. |

It’s ok...it’s not like reading is a requirement for your vocation.
Ya, the summer might be best for a guy like Tanev. Solidifying the bottom 6 and bottom 2 shouldn’t cost a fortune and leaves the required money for Debrincat and Strome. If the Hawks are unsure about Crawford then I agree, we’ll see the Return of the Ward. |

Hahahaha!!! Do as I say, don't do as I do.
I still expect trimming from SB. For the hawks and hogs. |

Cat should be careful. If he scores too much, we might have to trade him for a nice, cost controlled, Jordan Staal, Loui Eriksson, or Milan Lucic #grit |

It's a little bit different playing in front of the team that traded him. Players like to "stick it to their old teams." All players are streaky. I didn't watch or know, so I can't say. |

I guess so. I can't fully argue the compete for players. If you don't like him, that's fine. It's not going to change my opinion of him. |

Kinda gotta agree with Bread...
ya Panarin is 1 dimensional
But in my days of youth hockey, there were some teams we played much harder against and our seasons were 10 games plus playoffs... not 82
Richards basically admitted during interviews how the Hawks would take nights off because the cup was always the goal, and the regular season shouldn’t get in the way |

Staal has four more year at $6 million, that would be a bargain. |

Winnipeg wants to keep them for same reason?
On another Jets player: wondering the ceiling for claude Lemiuex's kid. He appears up to the big show for good. He is the kind of player each team needs? I need to check his scoutiing report again. His skating? Not that he is available, but teams like this guy in a defined role.

Surely he has more than the 3 points that he got the other night, right?
Oh yeh, forgot ... doesn't fit the overly slanted narrative. . . |

What a terribly played game last night by both teams. It was entertaining but wow that was a tirefire all around.
Once again, it highlights that scoring is not an issue for this team. The overall defensive scheme needs to be fixed. I've been calling for the Hawks to add a defensive dman (or two) but it'll take more than one or two players to help this team. There needs to be a renewed commitment and change to the system.
I think Lazarus posted a stat last night that in 60 games this season the Hawks have goven up 6 or more goals 11(!!) times. Woof. |
