am still of the opinion that botts owes it to this group to make a move or two to help this team...am looking at a player like hagelin, whom botts is very familiar with and probably trusts, and would also set my sights on ryan dzingel from the sens
- Michael Pachla

Dzingel in FA forsure. As a trade target I’m not sure he’ll be cheap even as a rental.

Eichel, Skinner, Reinhart, Mittlestadt, Dahlin, Risto are untouchable. Choose anyone else
- Acup2buff

that leaves you with 2 average goalies and chicken sh!t to make a 5 star meal though

And so it goes...
and maybe some players...

- Tragically Buffalo

beaulieu should have already been gone, as per his wishes...pommer should also be moved to a contender...and I wouldn't mind moving Thompson if an upgrade were possible

i would not be opposed to trading Risto or Mitts and if Skinner don't sign long term by The TD I would trade him too...

tampa is a different beast though

look what Kuch did, took less on a bridge
stamkos took less

I still think they probably move johnson or killorn but it would not shock me if point takes a 2 year 10-12 mil bridge

- homiedclown

Not if he scores 100+ points.

And the guy that got Kuch to do that isn't there anymore.

He'd be stupid to IMO.

He's on pace for 106 point season.

I honestly can't even think of a guy at that age and those numbers going, you know what? I'll take a 2 yr deal for peanuts because I still have to prove to you what I can do.

His agent is going to be shouting "Show mw the money" anytime Tampa or any other team calls him.

And to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure he isn't just a product of Tampa the way they're constructed.

Eugene won't move him to an Atlantic team, i.e. Karlsson. Brandon Saad for Okposo and SJ 1st

i agree with this.. i would be leery of paying him for 106 points/year
- SabresFaninIndiana

Anyone wanting to trade/offersheet Point should think long and hard.

The guy they should want to poach is Marner.

you're probably right...but then again, why not try to inject some life into this group right now without mortgaging the future...methinks you might be able to send beaulieu to la for hagelin and perhaps the sens believe Nylander will end up like his brother...won't kill the team's future

regarding the tampa situation from the last blog

they move one forward johnson, miller, palat, kilorn

they will be fine for next season

and if point takes a bridge deal, they are fine w/o moving a body

the next season will be tough

- homiedclown

They need to move 1 of them,
plus Callahan
And then sign some cheap Vets to fill out their roster

My guesses:

with where the sens are positioned right now, and with dzingle as an impending ufa, there's really no reason for him to take that path...best offer wins

With the season Point is having he is going to get paid top dollar. He's on pace for 106 points.
- dadeadhead

Right
I’m guessing around 10mi
I’d be ok giving him that
He’s 22, and it’s not a 1 year thing with him
Was good as a rookie
18g-22a-40pts in 68games (48pts pace)
Very good in year 2
32g-34a-66pts
And unfreaking real this year,
while not playing with Stamkos or Kucherov
And he gets a lot of tough defensive matchups too

Yeah... I’d be ok trading for & paying him
Or offersheeting him
