I hope when the Sabres miss the playoffs that Mittelstadt, Thompson, and Pilut go back to the farm for a playoff run with the Amerks. Get some more professional hockey under their belt and hopefully some confidence.
- Pegullaville

We'll know next week. They need to be on the Amerks roster at the deadline to be eligible.

I don't think Mitts can be sent down? Thought he is on a one way contract.

Right now Luke Adam but I’m hoping he gets it together there’s still hope

I’ve been comparing Tage to Armia
Big guys with big time shots-
Will they become NHL “scorers” though?

I think this is the first time in along time my heart got completely destroyed by this team

It would have been nice to see playoffs to see a little progress but apparently Housley is incompetent and needs to go

It’s A little frustrating that a expansion team is Further ahead of us and could win a cup before us

- gerbe75pts

not really they where setup for success... That owner was smart bring in the right guy and he built a hell of a team... unlike our owner

Yeah, because Compher, Zadorov and Greer are better than O'Reilly.

Zadorov might be traded, Compher is always hurt, and Greer is still in the AHL....and the Lehner pick wouldn't have been any of those guys, it would've been Ilya Samsonov.

One way contracts can be sent down. All ELC's are two way contracts.

He can be sent down.

1 way contract just means he makes the same salary in the AHL as he does here

2 way contracts mean there’s a different salary for the player depending on where he’s playing

Has zero to do with where the guys can actually play

if they are smart they will do this but I bet they don't... they've screwed this up all year nothing to think they will do the right thing now... It would be fun to see mitts play with Olofsson

Mel Kiper has the Bills taking WR Metcalf at pick 9 in his mock draft 2.0

Too early for a WR imo

Ahh gotcha. Just curious as to why he wasn't sent last year. I remember something about only being in the NHL or something. Maybe my brain is making something up.

When he signed last year, part of the deal was that he’d play in the NHL in order to burn a year of his ELC
That gets him to his next contract quicker & more money
It happens a lot with college players
Especially college free agents

I don't remember specifics either, but I remember there being something about him getting to step right in to an NHL role. I think it was a big mistake to keep him here this season, but we really didn't have any options at a #3 center, who turned in to a #2 after Berglund left. He has skills and is learning, but i think developing him and Tage at the NHL level is detrimental to the team.

Teams usually don’t trade up unless it’s for a QB
I could see trading down to 15 with the Skins

I wonder what the master negotiator could get us for super sniper Tage Thompson? Armstrong some how got ROR for him and his negotiating skills are dwarfed by the genius with an MBA from Michigan who single handedly brought all those cups to Pittsburgh.

ROR for Super Sniper Tage Thompson. That is better than Christian Ruutu for Hasek. How can anyone not be impressed by Botts? It has to be awesome not having expectations at your job and being praised for not doing poop.

He had 20 points in the 1st 32 games that season with 10pts (5g and 5 a) either being assisted by or assisted to Vanek and Pommer. As soon as Lindy took him off the line he did nada, pointless in his last 20 games that season.
