For the above, slotting in Dzingel may be more realistic, although don't think Hockeybuzz and realistic go together that much...
Connor - Scheifele - Wheeler
Ehlers - Duchene - Stone
Laine - Little - Roslovic
Lemiuex - Lowry - Tanev
Kulikov - Myers
Morrissey - Ceci
Chiarot - Niku

Seth Jones got Ryan Johansson alone; and Adam Larsson got Taylor Hall.
Both Johansson and Hall had deals with term in place. Trouba with this and next year controlled could be flipped for a really good package. - TheUltimateJet
You realize that the Hall deal is pretty much universally regarded as the worst trade in NHL history. If you’re using that as your basis for comparison than you’re probably in for big disappointment |

If you think those guys are equivalent to Stone and Duchene, than yes you are the insane one.
Laine is, ehlers and Connor are not even close |

Def not horrible idea, like where your going actually. Again I think it's pathetic to wait for someone to put forward a purpose and then rip it to shreds (unless your going to put forth 1 yourself). Anyways building off this:
To Winnipeg
Matt Duchene
Mark Stone
Cody Ceci
To Ottawa
Jacob Trouba
Mathieu Perreault
Kristian Vesalainen
Mason Appleton
2019 1st round pick
2020 Conditional pick
2020 pick = 3rd rounder. IF the Jets make it to the cup finals in either season it becomes a 2nd rounder. IF the Jets win the cup in either year it becomes a 1st and 3rd. If Jets make cup finals in both years, the Sens will get a 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks in either 2020 or 2021 (winnipeg will have options on each round). IF Stone or Duchene resign then Sens will still get an additional 2nd - AlfieisKing
You my friend got a deal!

Jets have control over all these players for the next 6 years. Why would we give up any one of them for players that we have no control over?
That's insane! |

Because the obvious assumption is that if a deal like that is being made, it’s coming with an extension.
Duchene has already said he’d negotiate a sign and trade, so why would the sens sell him as a rental?
Same goes for stone
Teams like Nsh, NYI, LV, etc can all trade for and extend.....so why would Ottawa take less from wpg? |

Until they actually sign a contract, they are rentals. |

And NYI negotiated with Tavares. Worked out great for them. |

Anyone who thinks that Connor and ehlers are better players than stone and duchene are either:
A. Trolling.
B. Retarded
Take your pick sweetie |

The fact that you’re comparing 2 situations that are completely different pretty much shows that you are option B
Tavares never said he’d negotiate a sign and trade |

So Tavares did not negotiate with NYI? They didn't lose him for nothing? |

Fine...switch the word...point still stands
They certainly aren’t better, and they aren’t even equivalent either. |

(frank), you really are stupid......I’m actually starting to feel guilty arguing with you.
How is Tavares negotiating to re-sign and stay in NY the same as stone and duchene negotiating sign and trade deals to be moved somewhere else?
Do you have to wear a helmet when you walk around outside? |

Has Duchene or Stone signed a deal yet? No.
Are they rentals then? Yes. |

If both players are extended......Ottawa loses that deal |

Sure.....expect they’ve already said they’ll pre-negotiate deals to be traded. So fine, if the jets can’t do that than the jets will offer a package as though they were rentals......and Ottawa will simply trade them somewhere else for a much better return. |
