Omg it's the spelling police. I can spell IGNORANT which clearly fits you well or how about VACUOUS - Taylorst1
Grammar police would be more accurate. |

So people complain about 15s salary being to high and your giving duchene even more - Abadseed
Duchene is 28 years old avgs 50 points a season and currently sits 2 points behind toews in points this season.
Duchene is a huge upgrade compared to anismov who isn't producing and went fromm2c to 4c!
So yeah I'll take Duchene who would improve this team down the middle as well as improve his wingers with his speed and skill. |

He’s a locker room cancer. No thanks. |

No your right. On the defense that won't happen unless Keith and or Seabrook are moved.
It sounds like Stan will be targeting top 6 and top 9 in free agency. - Taylorst1
I would like to use the money you want to spend on Duchene (or referencing your comments from yesterday - Stone) on two quality less expensive players. Dzingel and a Stralman type D. Hawks have a few holes to fill so let's spend the money prudently. |

I’ll be 100 level row 4 at the Pepsi Center to watch the Jets take care of the Avs tonight! Thank god for company season tickets

From what I read and just read another article stone is their 1st choice , but they also like Duchene and dzingel.
Now stralman to me is a waste of money and roster space.
It sounds like the coaches like koekkoek so I can see him coming back, Gustafson they realize his Offensive talent is hard to find and will overlook some of his defensive mishaps. Murphy not going anywhere and dalstrom gets resigned . JOHKI will be back up next year most likely and maybe boqvist as well.

He's also overrated on the ice, imo. Let Nashville waste their cap space. |

Pass on duchene. He's always been a very unmotivated player. He only tries in spurts, otherwise he's a ghost.
If you watched him play at all over the last handful of years, you don't really question why a guy with hands and speed like that hasn't cracked 60 pts in over 5 seasons when especially in Colorado they always had offensive talent around him even though defensively they sucked.
It's a matter of effort and attitude with him.
Big surprise. Contract year and on pace to shatter career high. Last time duchene was in a contract year was when he established his current career high in points |

That maybe true . However if you look at the teams and organizations he played for Ottowa and Colorado both had issues as a team , personal, coaching . Could that have been some of the issues as well?
But I've read those stories your referencing . |

No doubt, especially if in the 8m range like speculated in other pages of HB. Unfortunately Breadman is not coming home when he can get 10+ in Florida with Bob or in NY.

PANARIN isn't coming to chicago. Florida is 1 of his choices and it sounds like they are willing to pay him.
Stans thinking of a big splash is 7 to 9 million. He won't pay a free agent more than toews or Kane.

Okay so we're back where we started. Keith and Seabs are not waiving their NMC so the same D is coming back. Signing Stone or Duchene will cost a boatload. and then the 2020 RFA signings still have to be made. That's a recipe for more 8-7 games. |

10+ GTFO
Whoever signs him for that much deserves what they get.
I think Sharp and Cat are better hockey players than he is. And kudos to Stan when he traded away Sharp i ws wondering where are those 30 goals going to come from, enter Panarin, same situation with Panarin enter Cat. Plus we were able to get Saad back with the Panarin deal. And does Strome sort of in an offensive way fill the shoes of Hossa? |

Who then do the hawks have to fill that 3c hole with consistency?
Kahun? He is playing with strome and cat right now and doing a nice job.
Sikura IMO I think they have doubts about him .

For that amount of money of which I am in the lets sign 2 FA at 4-5mil each especially if one is a top 4 defenseman I would rather have Jeff Skinner as a UFA,
Towes/Skinner/Kane |

I'm not arguing , however they do need to fill a top 6 role . Chicago has nobody in Rockford to fill that need .
If Keith gets moved by tdl, then they have options next year. |

Want a 3C UFA that will cost less than Duchene - Brock Nelson, Brandon Tanev are 2, you can still afford a defenseman then |

I agree with the lack of talent in Rockford. Stan has to look to the outside to improve the team.
Let's enjoy the game tonight. Go Hawks.

LA, I agree. Get 2 quality players for 8-10M instead of one.
