Botteril wasnt trying to bring in great players yet (aside from skinner)

He is bringing players in to fill holes for a year or so until he can start putting players he drafted and developed into the roster.

You arent being unrealistic at all and i feel the same way,

I just didnt expect any more than this when the year started, I expected much of the same and another year towards clearing out the mess GMJB inherited.

The last thing we should be doing is trying to rush anything, that is why we are where we are.

I think the skinner signing will be the telling factor for me. GMJB is going to have to sell skinner on the sabres 5 year plan, and if that isnt up to snuff skinner will walk.

I can actually see where Pitts would trade him. They are up against the cap next year and Malkin makes 9+ mil a year.

But I think tht may be a move for a later date when we fix our roster.
