Replace pills with coke and you have 80-90% of the bar scene in Buffalo, which is most of the population. And the players follow suit. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
Problem is the coke is mixed with meth nowadays.
The days of yellow blow are long gone |

Sure are.
I have some friends that are oblivious to the fact the most Buffalo bars are coke bars. No matter the bar, no matter the age. That is just what it is here. Long winters = drinking and drugs. And the players that go out fit right into that scene and get taken care of by fans/and bar owners. |

Enough with stockpiling picks, we need players (Hayes/Toffili) type of deals! We can’t have all these picks and be good in 2025, we said the same thing 4/5 years ago (Eichel, Reinhart & Dahlin). Let’s try and win
But I guess the plan is to get Rochester a Championship first! |

What you really have to be careful of is Fentanyl. We have the same coke problem here in NE. |

That percentage is too high
It’s around just about everywhere,
but that doesn’t mean everyone is doing it |

It’s been reported that he still has his NTC in tact, so we might not be able to trade him |

If your skinner:
You want 9 million
Sabres say "no"
If the Sabres aren't giving you 7 years let alone 8 years
Why wouldn't you waive your no trade?
Go and compete for a Stanley cup and check out the situation in another city for a few months? |

U make sense
Only thing i could think of is that he is tearing it up here & if he goes somewhere else & doesn’t light it up in the playoffs then it could hurt his value - especially with other big time UFAs out there this year |

It would be lovely to pry Tolvanen away from Nashville. |

That's a good point as well.
Imagine skins putting together a great playoff run though........

So Evander Kane gets in all kinds of trouble during his time here and becomes a model citizen in San Jose.
Ryan O'Reilly was a cancer in the Sabres locker room and has become a great teammate in St. Louis.
Wonderful.. - mhp

It’s a lot easier to demand respect when you are Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski it Brent Burns. Sabres biggest problems and why we are where we are today is that Matt Moulson and Kyle Okposo were enormous flops. We have the kids and the young talent. No talented veterans to insulate and demand respect in the lockeroom. It’s easy to say that Jack should as the captain, I’m sure he is. However Jack is only one person and 22 years old to boot with lack of playoff experience. |

How is this bad? I love it here! In my defense, my suicidal-thoughts-days are far behind me...set the bar low and enjoy the ride!
Sabres 0
Bolts 11 - LandlordTom

I think we end up signing him
But it’s a little nerve racking that we don’t have a deal done/announced yet |

Yes. I would imagine Kane knew he had to keep his ducks, or sharks, in a row with those 3 staring at you from across the room. |

6 - 1 Bolts. Kuch with a hatty. Dahlin for the Sabres.
Even if Botts is gun-shy about pulling a big trade at the TDL, I am not sure why he and Housley don't change things up by bringing up Guhle, Oloffson and Nylander. And let them play for 10 games in positions to succeed. Let's see what they got. Pick any 3 stiffs to sit (starting with Sobotka). What do we have to lose at this point?
I know they don't want to mess with Rochester but screw Rochester. Botts #1 priority has to be the Sabres and putting the best possible product on the ice. The poor Sabres fans and season ticket holders deserve it. |

Sure
But unless we trade them Skinner, i can’t imagine what we’d have they’d want
Supposedly NSH is willing to move him,
but only for a “big fish” |

I heard that if they wait until or after trade deadline that they can max out at 8 years.
If true, I am hoping deal gets announced soon afterwards.

True
Right now we can only sign him to a 7year deal
But it doesn’t mean we can’t announce that we’ve agreed to sign an 8year deal with him after the deadline
If Skinner ends up walking,
that would be a disaster |

Was thinking about Botts answer to the question about fans calling for the firing of Housley, and being surprised about the fans feeling.
I have to believe that Botts must have formed some negative opinions of a significant portion of the roster as the problem, not the coaching...so he is giving Phil a pass. Pointing the finger more at himself for the roster, not as much at Phil and his xtaff.
I think that is accurate about the roster, but Phil has his improvement opportunities himself. Also, the D had been playing pretty, pretty good in November and much credit was given to Smith ... but that has now reverted back to being quite unstable.
I think we see soome hockey trades this offseason to replace guys we may have thought to be relatively safe ... Risto, I'm looking at you. - IonSabres
this should tell you how out of touch the guy really is... Really he's surprised??? REALLY?
In fairness I think the Assistant coaches are all crap, so Phil hasn't exactly been setup for success. |

you can't trade him unless he okay's it.... Do you really go to him and ask him to wave? how does that affect things? And he can say still say no to a trade.
Im of the same opinion, Botts would be wise to get him resigned sooner than later. |
