Talk about a hometown-bias. Krieder (age 27) has ONE YEAR left at 4.6M. Nylander (age 22) has SIX YEARS left at 6.9M (nice). To put things into perspective - by the time Nylander finishes his contract, he'll be the same age as Kreider next year is IN SIX YEARS.

As well, in the ONLY TWO SEASONS Nylander played his career high (61) is higher than what Kreider got in SIX SEASONS (53).
