Isn't it great that after next season the only contract that we might have to complain about is either Voracek or JVR? Whichever one isnt picked up in the expansion draft. Thats incredible IMO. - youarewrong
If the cap continues to rise and both keep their point production going, neither will be a complain. |

If we don't win tonight, do we see Fletcher relent and make the trades before the SSG? If you wait till after, its cutting it too close IMO. I'm halfway rooting for a lose, though I'm really not. I mean if the Flyers win tonight and pick up 4 from Pitt..... - youarewrong

I agree with its cutting it too close. With the threat of rain, game could be pushed back to Sunday. I can't see us holding on to players just for the outdoor game. If a deal presents itself, you make it. |

Imho, Saturday's game should not be a factor in any trade situation. |

I expect trades to happen when he gets the best deal he can before the deadline, but he also has to wait for other teams to decide on what they want to do. I doubt Fletcher is waiting on the result of any game. |

Canadiens obviously haven't scouted us too well. They should have Folin in the line-up and call up Weise. That would be good for at least 3 goals. |

Oh so that wasn't a realistic conversation about a realistic trade proposal. I get it.

In my opinion, Fletcher has already made up his mind what he wants to do and what he feels he needs to add or delete between now and next season. |

Remember when you were a kid and winter would come and the pond out by old man McGillicuddy's farm would freeze over and you and your friends would lace 'em up and don your heros' sweaters and pretend you scored the Stanley Cup game winning goal and would break for hot cocoa with marshmallows?
That's why. |

I can't imagine it's a great view point of the game from the stands. I guess maybe the novelty and atmosphere of it. For the NHL it's money, money, money.

I was lucky enough to be at the first one in Buffalo. Different atmosphere because it was New Year's Day and during the day. These night games in February make no sense to me. A divisional game nonetheless. NHL just trying to capitalize on money/marketing/etc.
Regarding the view, you're right. Tough to see. Although The Ralph is set up perfectly for it. It snowed the whole time and if not for the adult beverages, probably would have been miserable. Plus the Pens freaking won. |

What would we need to add to Simmonds to get both Katchouk and Raddysh? Simmonds and a 3rd for both?
- youarewrong
I don't think Simmonds + 3rd gets you both. I think TB would ask the Flyers to take Callahan in any scenario where they are giving up 2 of their best/cheapest prospects given their cap issues. |
