Fewer than Brodie. Prout has been fine for a while now. He doesn't add a whole lot, but he also isn't harming the team. Brodie is playing 20+ minutes and it seems it's every other game where he has a brutal turnover in his own end and then immediately flops on the ice.

I hope Andersson's play warrants a permanent promotion to the guy that Gio makes look awesome.

So trade deadline... Given the price for Duchene, expect that Stone is well beyond the reach of Treliving at this point.

Time to look for value outside of the big names.

If anything, the underwhelming return the Sens got for Duchene makes it more likely the Flames can get Stone for a 1st and Kylington. Kylington is much better than either prospect they got for Duchene, and he's sitting tonight.

Flames can even throw in a bunch of extra first-round conditional picks in because there's almost no chance they'll resign him. If they do plan on trying to resign him, Stone is worth much more than 2 firsts and a Kylington to the Flames.

Sure it isn't even close to what they gave up to get him in the first place but I don't think they ever thought they would get that. I don't think they looked at what they gave up for him at all. I think they did the smart thing and got whatever quality assets they could for him without looking at the trade they made to get him.
