Literally all of this. Totally agree.

I'm trying to remain patient and calm...but since I started watching them at age 14 and am now 61...47 years the majority of which involved long periods of "suffering"...patience from me is beginning to wear very thin.
The Sabres, while they have several very young players on the team are NOT "young"... they are average..average age of all players on rosters at start of season was 27.1...infact, one could argue that Dahlin at 18, Mitts at 19 have scewed the average age lower...2 months more would have put this team into the top 1/3rd of oldest teams.
The other issue concerning the age of the roster, is that with the way many (most?) of the vets have played for a majority of this season, the roster should be much younger by having played more youngsters with the big club to help their development. Give 3 - 4 youngsters say 10 games each to help them gage now much further they need to go, and give them a feel for specific areas for them to work on.
Botts needs to make several major moves for next season, and no more taking on crap contracts to get medicore talent...F-that nonsense.
Start building the roster with two (2) major and a couple more lower level, serviceable contract for the bottom six.
Have very serious dialogue with Okposo...he needs to either retire or go on LTIR to begin next season...but $4m+ of that contract needs to be releaved.
