Personally, I just don't see the Expos coming back.

MLB salaries being what they are (!!!), we would be getting CDN dollars at the gate while paying players in US dollars ... talk about a financial disadvantage.

Then add the inclement weather issues early in the season and the fact that the younger generations don't seem to be much interested in baseball ...

I believe there's a "luxury tax" to give smaller markets a chance to compete with the Boston and New Yorks of this world.

I'm not sure how effective it is as I've stopped watching baseball when the Expos left town. Due to economics, we pretty much became a development team for richer markets and fans got fed up ... kinda similar to what the Senators are going through right now.
