Agreed. The ufa draw argument is true. I'm worried cory is back and could negate the lundqvist argument. I think the biggest reason we are is because we have a #1 center for a decade. Those aren't easy to find.

Hischier, Bratt, Smith and Blackwood is something to be excited about, but Hall is the real factor. If we have to deal him away to not lose him for nothing we may as well hit the reset button on the entire team.

Going into this year I would say you guys were. I think we have to see what happens after the TDL, the draft and any ufa signings in the summer. Also need a couple years to see how last years draft picks turn out. Think its early for both teams

Two more years after this at a nice cap hit, hes 30 in his UFA season and legit seems to love playing here. I’m very concerned about Hall after this season though- Devils have been like bottom 2 or 3 in salary every year since the new owners came in. We are well past the Vanderbeek spend to the ceiling years. If I’m Hall I have to seriously question this teams commitment to winning.
